The Playstation 2 8mb memory card is the solution for every gamer who cannot play though an entire game in a single sitting!

The device is small and portable, roughly the same size as a small biscuit or something but I'm guessing nowhere near as tasty!

The regular memory card itself is a black colour though I have seen then in various other colours like red and blue. The top of the memory card details you with what it is and there is a handy arrow so you know where to plug it in to your Playstation 2.

The memory card plugs into your console with a satisfying clunk and you can check it is properly detected by the system by using the consoles browser feature. Here you can manage data and copy it to other memory cards you may own.

During games when you select save it will write data to your card usually being a trivial amount such as 15kb but some games like Full Spectrum Warrior will eat nearly half of your space so you may need more than one depending on how many memory hungry games you own.

It's usually quick to save games and mine have never gone wrong which I have heard happens sometimes if you use the equivalent from other brands.

Though this is a good little device I am glad most consoles are now equipped with internal storage, or hard drives! A definite purchase for all Playstation 2 owners.
