Advantages: Small and compact

Disadvantages: Useless practically

So, Sega, being the crazy people that they are, release a mouse to coinside with the launch of Quake 3 Arena, back last Christmas time, but what else can you use the mouse for?

Practically nothing - only Hidden and Dangerous can use it, possibly Unreal Tournament too, but the mouse was a waste of time - yes sure it helps if you are into Q3A, but you still cannot surf the web on the DC with the mouse until the new Dreamkey, which seems to have been thrown away and forgotten about, is released - but seriously, the mouse is pointless on the DC as nowhere near enough games utilise it.

So, you've got one, and you don't know what to do with it. Sell it! But if you do like quake and use the mouse regularly then obviously don't.

They cost around £15 new, but are really hard to find - buying from Sega's home page may be the best place to get one from, but I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have Quake. Hopefully the new Dreamkey will make use of the 2 button plus scrolling button mouse, if not, it's another useless peripheral.

White, small and comfortable, I did buy one, then I sold it as nothing was compatible with it so there was no point. Good quality, pointless.

2stars.

Thanks Chris, but please don't rate my opinion out of 10! :)

The new dreamkey should be out in December (with the ability to use your own ISP *hurrah* no more huge PSO phonebills). 'Outrigger' which came out this week uses the mouse as does Planet Ring in a couple of the games...personally I prefer a joypad in Q3 but thst just me.
