This is a great controller what makes this controller great is that it works. Unlike many of the other controllers that are offered this oneI works. Many companies offer a wireless controller that supposedly does the same thing, but trust me they dont work. your best bet is to buy this one, because it actuall works. My controller is responsive and still works great considering this is my fifth year with the controller, i play a lot of games and this controller has lasted long enough to with stand all the beatings i give it. Dont buy the imitation products or the wireless controllers because those just dont work, trust me I've had them before but the Sony brand one is by ... Read the complete review

Ah yes, the PlayStation 2 control pad. Is Sony being bland and stingy for not giving us all a new controller, a better pad perhaps that incorporates something new? Or are they being very clever indeed, at the same time as saving you £20 here and there? Either way you look at it, the control pad for the Playstation 2 isn’t going to change, and I haven’t heard many complaints about it yet. It does differ from the original Playstation controller, not only in colour but in some other features too. So how good is the PS2 pad? Well, being a Dreamcast and a PlayStation 2 owner, I haven’t really had ‘that’ much time to extensively test the ... Read the complete review

The original PlayStation controller was a landmark in gaming. This new console, the first for the company, with a strange looking controller. The original fitted into the palm of the hand so well no matter whose hands they were in. Time passed and, largely due to the N64, an analogue feature was added in. Incidentally the N64 also had these "handle" bits - surely a tribute to the controller designed by the console newcomers Sony. The console veterans were complimenting Sony's style - they wouldn't admit of course. Time passed again as it does and with the release of Gran Turismo the new Dual Shock controller was released. This was ... Read the complete review

Seems a bit strange, writing an opinion on a control pad but here goes. Over the years, we have seen many different types of control pads for consoles. To start with, well as far back as I can remember we had the Master System pad. Looking at it now it seems like ergonomics must have been a foreign word back then. The Master system pads were rectangular with sharp edges and a rotten square D-pad. Luckily things have moved on from those savage days and this is a good thing as my hands look ravaged, maybe I should sue Sega. As gaming and the consoles evolved so did the pads and come the N64, Saturn and Playstation the 3 main console makers had gone their ... Read the complete review

I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for the Playstation controller. Oh how it has evolved over the years – do you remember it too my friends? When the Playstation arrived with its strange pointy design many of us thought – that looks a bit awkward. That all changed when it was picked up and placed in the hands. Yes, it looked a bit odd but it was actually quite comfortable to hold/use. The buttons were laid out well, the pad felt solid and it even had shoulder buttons like the SNES pad. This time though, it had TWO sets of shoulder buttons. Then came the Dual Shock pad. A bloomin’ marvellous invention as far as I’m concerned. ... Read the complete review
