Advantages: New sensitivity feature, cool black colour

Disadvantages: Almost the same as the original Dual Shock controller

The new Dual Shock 2 controller for the Playstation 2 has a new black sleek colour. It also works on the Playstation One but it doesnt have its cool new feature. This feature is the new sensitive controls. This means that the harder you press the button, the harder the punch or kick is. For example, if you are playing Fifa 2001, there is a small bar at the bottom of the screen. If you play with a normal control pad, then the longer you keep the button held, the more the bar goes up. (It is a power bar for shooting) But with a Dual Shock 2 controller, the bar will go up the harder you press the button.

The only other new feature is that the L1, L2, R1 and R3 are a little bit bigger. Thr L2 and R2 are still bigger than the L1 and R1 but now that they are bigger, it is easier to press them whilst playing a game. It looks exactly the same as the original Dual Shock controller except it is black and it has "Dualshock 2" on the top, which is written in blue.

Overall, only buy the Dual Shock 2 controller if you like the new sensitivity feature, otherwise, just get a normal controller and save 5 pounds.
