Do you want to be able to watch DVD movies months before they're released in UK stores?
Do you want the options and features found on region 1 DVD's that they dont give you on region 2 DVD's?
If you said yes to both of these questions then you need Datel's DVD Region X for the Playstation 2.
DVD Region X is a must have for any Playstation 2 owner who loves films.DVD Region X allows you to play all your favourite movies, whether they be:

Region 1 - The U.S.,U.S. territories and Canada
Region 2 - Europe,Japan,the Middle East, Egypt,South Africa,Greenland
Region 3 - Taiwan,Korea,the Philippines,Indonesia,Hong Kong
Region 4 - Mexico,South America,Central America,Australia,New Zealand,Pacific Islands,Caribbean
Region 5 - Russia,Eastern Europe,India,Africa,North Korea,Mongolia
Region 6 - China

This nifty gizzmo also allows you to play RCE DVD's, which is very helpful these days.

This is a very handy tool as it allows you to play any region DVD,thus allowing you to purchase DVD's from overseas months before their release in the UK. All you need for all this to be possible is a memory card with approximately 10KB of free space and the DVD Region X CD. (Older versions of DVD Region X come with their own little memory card type thing).

Theres no need for modification to your beloved Playstation 2 or to void your warranty, its that simple, just plug in the memory card, insert the CD and it saves a small file onto the memory card for future use. Once the DVD Region X CD has been loaded,it brings up the option to select what region DVD you are about to watch, select the correct one and the disc tray pops open allowing you to then swap the Region X disc for your chosen movie and enjoy.

In order to play these multi-region DVD's in colour you will also need an NTSC compatible (60 hertz) television. As televisions differ around the world;UK has PAL whereas US has NTSC;a compatible tel
evision is needed to allow the DVD's to play in colour. If an NTSC compatible television can't be found the DVD's from regions other than region 2 will play in black and white with a little distortion, and region 2 movies will play in lovely colour. However NTSC compatible televisions are now very common and you probaly have one without realising.
(This is the only drawback to the purchase but cannot be helped,as it is a television problem not the software problem.)

This is a must have purchase for all movie lovers who own a Playstation 2. Its very easy to use and comes at a very reasonable and cheap price. The only tool you'll need for multi-region DVD viewing without the hazards and problems of modifying the Playstation 2. Also visiting the website www.dvdregionx.com gives you constant codes that can be added to your ps2 updating the drivers making them more effective and fixing any bugs.
