Advantages: Good transfer onto the mobile/ipod
Disadvantages: repetitive animations, short play life
Monopoly is back and it is now on the mobile phone and ipods! This is the Here and Now version which has all the basic concepts with everthing turned into millions!
~~~GRAPHICS~~~
The graphics are surprisingly acceptable for a mobile game.. usually quite bad and makes you NOT want to play, but the colours are bright and makes you really included and you can get addicted to it!
There are lots of bright colours and the board is varied, you get a range of animations which all show up well. Game pieces are clear and so are dice rolls and all the movement.
~~~GAMPLAY~~~
The game follows the same premises as the board game, except the Here and Now version is more digital, the money you deal with is in Millions and you don't need to count out the paper cash!
You start off with a bunch of money and you go round the board, landing on properties you can buy and if you own a street, you can improve and build houses and hotels and so on...
The aim of the game is to monopolize the board and bankrupt all other opponents!!
~~~SPEED~~~
There is no lag experienced with this game however, the computer players do move abit slowly, and the animation is boring to watch after a while, however there is a speed up button which helps, although now by much.
~~~EXTRAS~~~
There are relatively few extras on this and is just the raw game nicely done for the mobile and iphone. It does however have multiplayer where you can play other human players which is nice but you don't get to use that option very often.
~~~OVERALL~~~
It is a nice game whenever I'm bored, but after playing it for a while I got bored of the animations and the fact that I can manipulate the computer and win almost 90% of the time.
Summary: good for a while
