The style and comfort of PlayStation dualshock controllers have always been excellent since the PlayStation 1. However, the adjustment made to the controllers for the PlayStation 3 just seems bizarre in my eyes. Sony altered the design of the back shoulder buttons (L2 and R2) to become trigger buttons which typically don't push in straight, instead they push down in a kind of curve to allow more control over how much pressure is being applied. The shape of the triggers is convex (curved outwards). This coupled with being triggers isn't the most intelligent of ideas. Some games such as Burnout Paradise make use of the triggers more than often. In Burnout; R2 is used to ... Read the complete review

Having owned a Playstation 3 from release day, what seems like ages ago, I have spent a lot of my time playing games. I own some Dual Shock 3 controllers that I use with my PS3. Over this time I have kept having the same problem, slippy fingers! I know it sounds odd, but after a while when playing a fast paced, heart pumping game, your hands can become quite sweaty. The sweat kept causing my fingers to slip off of the back two trigger buttons (L2 & R2). This is a major problem, causing me a lot of aggravation over the last couple of years. Then, being so fed up with the problem I was having, I went online and found that a large number of people also have ... Read the complete review

So I recently bought a PS3 slim. Having had a 360 for a few years I was used to the Microsoft pad, which is almost perfect for FPS games. I couldn't wait to get COD4 fired up on the PS3, so when I finally did, I was very disappointed to find the feel of the PS3 controller, specifically the triggers, was quite poor. The triggers on the PS3 pad feel rushed, poorly designed and tacked on. An afterthought. They do not feel comfortable to hold, lack grip, lack resistance, are curved the wrong way as well as being too small. I heard about these Gioteck Real Trigger add ons. For only £2 I thought there was little risk involved and they were ... Read the complete review

After having owned a PS3 since its release, there has always been something that has not felt right about the controller, but I could never put my finger on it. That was until I went over to a friends house who has added the Gioteck Real Triggers to his PS3 controller, and the difference is amazing, especially for First person shooter games. The triggers are manufactured from the same material as the Sony controller and therefore are exactly the same colour and feel as the rest of the controller. Infact they fit so well you would barely realise they were there. The triggers clip onto the R2 and L2 buttons very easily, but are very sturdy and even of you drop ... Read the complete review

For some strange reason, Sony designed very small and slightly curved L2 and R2 buttons which always cause your fingers to slip off. These two buttons get the most use for the average PS3 user so Gioteck stepped in with a very simple and cheap solution... Real Triggers. You can pick these up for £1-3 and the pack includes two Real Triggers, one for L2 and the other for R2. To attach them you just have to clip it on top of the L2 and R2 buttons, by pushing it down until you hear the click sound. They are very secure and can be removed just easily. Not only do the Real Triggers provide much larger triggers on the controllers but there are two other ... Read the complete review
