Horizontal Stand PS2

Wow how bad can you get, a little bit of plastic to hold your brand new playstation 2 while you do a houdini trick and get the game in the system without it falling out. They say two wrongs make a right but come on people it dosen't take a genius to figger out that it is basicly impossible to insert a cd verticaly. I mean look at all of the other stuff sony have come out with, a dvd controller that you don't need, a extention cable that you need if you were to playing in another solar system. (The time has come. At every time in someones Dooyoo life, it seems, they decide they want to rant about something. This is my turn. I have chosen this crazy commercial rip-off rubbish to rant about.) I think that Sony must have had a crazy fit of madness whilst designing this. I can understand the vertical stand, even though the PS2 can stand up vertically without the stand this will stop it being knocked over accidentally. But a horizontal stand? That's totally stupid. Now, let me get this straght! I DID NOT buy one of these! I got mine free in some dodgy deal when I got my PS2, and I still cant see the point in this! All it is, is some small piece of plastic that enabales your PS2 to stand up-right, and there really is no point in it at all. It doesn't effect gameplay or anything like that, its just a stand, which makes it stand up! The only thing that it has going for it is that it could possibly help ventilation and in the long run stop it over heating, but I very much doubt it! The Playstation 2 stand is just what I’d have to call unnecessary – it’s a complete rip off! Why on earth didn’t Sony design the Playstation 2 to stand up on it’s own without you having to buy a special £9.99 plastic stand, which probably cost £1 to make! As many will know, the new Playstation 2 has been designed so that it can be located in two different positions. It can be placed (A)horizontally (On top of a VCR or on top of a digi box etc.) or (B) vertically (on a desk e.g.) I have just had my Playstion 2 and have placed it vertically on to of my VCR with my Playstation 1 on top of it. But to tell you the truth the console seems to be lacking in something. The vertical stand does add a little colour to the ‘black box’ making a little more stylish.
