As many will know, the new Playstation 2 has been designed so that it can be located in two different positions. It can be placed (A)horizontally (On top of a VCR or on top of a digi box etc.) or (B) vertically (on a desk e.g.)

I have just had my Playstion 2 and have placed it vertically on to of my VCR with my Playstation 1 on top of it. But to tell you the truth the console seems to be lacking in something. The vertical stand does add a little colour to the ‘black box’ making a little more stylish. It also slightly lifts the console away from it (A few millimetres). This may come in handy if you have placed it on top of a digibox, which may get hot during use.

If you have no money left, like me after forking out £300 for your spanking new Playstion 2 then this will for certain not be your priority, games and DVD’s will come before.

The bottom line is it’s £10 for a sheet of plastic, Is it worth it? If you’re a show off then yes, but many will look at the cheaper stands from unofficial maker which only cost £5.
