Advantages: No wires, Comfortable, All the buttons are included
Disadvantages: Needs batteries if used regularly
When I bought this controller, I thought, "Wow! Freedom from controller wires at last!" And indeed, you now have the freedom!
To be able to use the controller, you will need at least 4 AA batteries to make it work.
Included with the controller is the sensor that plugs into a controller port. This will enable the wireless gaming to begin.
The first game I have played this on was Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and I found that the controls were comfortable to use, even though it is much bigger than the official PS2 control pad. The reception of the infra-red wirless controller is excellent. You can play as far away as you want without getting in a tangle with the official PS2 control pad.
All the buttons are there including the X, O, Triangle and Square buttons along with R1, R2, L1, L2, Start, Select and the two analog sticks.
There are 2 extra buttons on the controller. Mode and Vibration. Mode is not as useful as the other buttons but I usually use this button to switch the controller on to be able to play. Vibration does exactly what it says, vibration of the controller. The vibration is much more powerful compared to the official PS2 control pad to give you more of an experience of how detailed you can pick up bumps, crashes, gun shots, and more in a game.
I got it for a bargain £20 from my local Cash Converters and it is well worth it. There will be support from logitech if it does not work so you are guaranteed to be able to get a replacement (see the manual included with controller). I would recommend anyone who would want to get a freedom of using a wired controller and have more precision in gaming. The only downside to the controller is that you need to change the batteries occassionally if used regularly.
