When I brought my wii, I got the wii motion plus free with it. I initially brought the console so that my family (me, my wife and 3 young kids) could stay in and play multiplayer games together and enjoy each others company. The first game we ever played on with it was the wii sports bowling and it does things like vibrate when you hit the pins etc... It is a good accessory but I feel that it isn't something that enhances games that much. I tried it with and without the motion plus and I couldn't tell the difference and the kids didn't say anything so it obviously didn't make a big impact on them! When the Wii first came out everyone was really excited about playing Wii sports and having the feeling that you were actually playing tennis, baseball or bowling in your living room. Since then relatively few games have actually made use of the Wii's great motion controls, often resorting to the dreaded 'waggle' that a lot of games use. When the Nintendo Wii was first announced, I (like many others) was incredibly excited about the concept of a console with such a revolutionary control system. The prospect of being able to play a game of virtual tennis or golf by replicating the action of the actual sport fascinated me, and I was quick to purchase the pioneering new machine when it was released.
