Advantages: Stops you breaking your TV, good grip, FREE!

Disadvantages: Hard to take off.

The Wii remote jacket was released by Nintendo after many accidents with Wii remotes smashing TVs while playing tennis or another game on the Wii!
The jacket is silicone and was released to stop this problem and comes free with all Wii`s bought after October 2007 and I think if you bought your Wii before that you can claim one for free from a Nintendo website!

One thing the jacket does to stop this problem is that it gives the remote extra grip so the Wii remote does not just fall out of your hand and break something. It achieves this very well as the jacket is very gripping so it does not fall out of your hand easily.

Another good point about the Nintendo Wii Remote Jacket is that it also protects your precious Wii remote which cost £30 so you do not want to break it in a week! It also achieves this feature as well because while I have had the jacket on my remote has not been damaged at all even though I and other people have dropped the remote on the floor quite often! I also think the jacket has kept my remote cleaner as there are crumbs e.t.c in the buttons of the remote!

I also find the jacket is quite comfortable to use and prefer having it on as it makes the remote more comfortable for me as there is more to grip and it means your hands are more comfortable.

One bad thing about the jacket though is there seems to be no easy way to take it off without stretching the whole thing - which I imagine probably, does not do the jacket much good!

As I mentioned if your console did not come with a jacket you should be able to get a free one by going to www.nintendo.co.uk and you should be able to tell them your details and they send you the jackets free!
