The Playstation 2 DVD remote is an accessory for your Playstation 2 which enables you to control the DVD playback wirelessly and with greater ease than the controller.

This Playstation 2 DVD remote comes with an installation DVD, The remote itself and a couple of decent Sony AAA batteries to get you going, Infra red receiver, and an instruction manual so thick you won't ever bother to read it but it makes a good doorstop or something to prop up a table with a dodgy leg!

The design of the remote is like the Playstation 2 console with a couple of ridges on it and some Playstation logos for good measure. The amount of buttons on this thing is astonishing and has every DVD feature you could want from chapter selections to angle control to standard play and pause features.

The installation DVD didn't seem to do anything but take up room on my memory card so I deleted the data and the remote still works for me, someone please tell me if it does anything! Another thing worth noting is you won't need the Infra Red receiver plugged into your console if you have the slim Playstation 2 as there is one built into the machine.

The remote is simple to use and perfect for people who aren't comfortable picking up a Playstation 2 controller when they want to watch DVD movies. It can also be used to browse the Playstation 2 menus so can be used for basic setup without bothering with a controller.

If you have a large DVD library that you like to play on your Playstation 2, this remote is an excellent bit of kit.
