SCART Lead (Scart)
Scart is a well known cable for connecting DVD Players, VCR's, Games Consoles and many more media products. The cable was released back in the late 1970's early 1980's. It used to be the best cable out before HDMI cables and Component HD Cables came out. It is the same as Composite, as you can buy Composite to Scart adapters for around £3, Composite is the Red, White and Yellow cables that you see on every TV on the side. Scart leads nowadays come with any media products for yuot TV especially older TV's! New TVs have HDMI built in! You can buy a scart lead for around £1 or !2. There are two types of Scart leads Sliver plated which gives good quality of the video. Gold Plated which gives you higher quality. There is only around £1.50 difference between Gold Plated Scart leads than Silver Plated Scart leads! Scart and Composite leads transfere Video and Sound! I would recommend anyone who wants a straight forward cable to use to buy a scart lead!
Ever get sick of having to go throught that annoying, tricky procedure of trying to get your television connected up to your playstation by means of the ariel? This is even more of a problem when you have a VCR attatched to your television which so many people have now. With a SCART cable you can bypass all that messing about with pulling out your ariel, disconnecting from your video, plugging it into that black box etc.... All you do is stick one end of the SCART cable into your playstation and the other end into the specially-made SCART socket that is on all modern televisions. There is nothing more to it PLUS you can use the playstation on any television channel without the need of tuning it in. I found there was a slight change in the colour balance of my games when i used a SCART cable, but this is nothing that couldn't be solved with a minor adjustment of the TV colour settings.
