Advantages: Small & cheap

Disadvantages: None

When you buy a console, you may often consider more than what the console is solely capable of - you may look at what is available for it, in terms of peripherals and so forth - the design of the control pad is an important aspect, but so is the memory card - these little devices are so important, we'd be lost without them (well, our games wouldn't be saved!). Sega's memory card for their last ever console is a particularly original and innovative little thing. It's more than just a memory card - unlike other cards, this has an LCD screen so that you can play games, see what's saved, and make file transfers.

Brilliant eh?! Well yes, it slots into the control pad, can be used on the move for playing simple games which can be downloaded - snake, pacman and the like, but the batteries don't last that long - maximum of 3 months. Not bad I suppose, but not great, you won't be playing mini games for long though - they get boring, and it'll find it's home in your Dreamcast controller.

1mb of space - enough for around 10 saved games, and at £9.99 it's a real bargain - again, buy from Sega's home site on the Internet - everywhere else it is still £19.99.

A 5 star product, it's light, it's durable and it saves you games as well as playing its own.

D pad, two buttons and a sleep/mode button - all it needs, in some games you can change the tactics using the little screen - in certain football games you can secretly change the formation while playing! Be careful though as you may become distracted and let a goal in.

Great device, highly innovative.

Brilliant.

sega-europe's sold out now though. But you've inspired me to write my own review, since I like this little thing so much!
