Advantages: Saves on batteries.

Disadvantages: Sometimes the connector is a bit dodgy and the battery pack covers the sync button.

When I first got my Wii I was worried about the batteries on the Wii remotes running out and ending up spending alot of money on batteries. However I saw this product and decided to buy it.

I've had this charger station since I got my Wii a couple of years ago. It's very easy to set up and uses the main power going into the Wii. You then simply put the battery packs that come with it (you get 2) into the back of each Wii remote and then stand the wii remote in the station.
This charging station has a light for each remote plugged into it, a red light indicates they're charging, green means fully charged and then I usually just turn the power off at the socket.
It isn't without problems though, sometimes the connector's can be a pain and don't match the connections on the battery pack, meaning sometimes you have to fiddle about with them to get the red charging lights to appear, but then it sometimes goes off again as soon as you let go. This can get extremely frustrating! Once you have it set though, it'll sit there charging nicely.

I'm a bit concerned after reading other reviews on other websites which say this charging station broke their Wii Remotes. Mine however have never broken or had any problems, and hopefully it won't happen!

Another problem I've had is when I took my wii remotes to a friend's house to play on their Wii. I had to sync my wii remotes up to their wii but when the battery pack is in the back of the wii remote you can't press the red sync button! This is a very silly design flaw. I had to borrow the normal batteries from my friend's remotes and pop them in the back to sync up the remotes, then put the battery pack in. Of course once I brought my wii remotes home again I had to dig out batteries from my TV remote to sync them back up again!

This charging station does save wonderfully on batteries but it has niggles which TeckNet need to sort out and bring out a better version of this charging station.

You can currently buy this charging station for £6.99 on Amazon, good value.

Summary: Has saved me money on batteries!
