Advantages: Makes the PS2 more stable vertically

Ah, the classical vertical stand. A simple bit of plastic - yes. It provides the correct upright momentum for your new PS2. But then there are the FaCtOrS!

Take a look at your new PS2. Does that horizontal look suit your style, your needs? Is it east to operate that on/off switch, or how does your DVD tray open? Do you just stick those good old DVDs on the top? There is a solution - vertical fashion!

The first time I looked at the nice, neat Playstation 2, I though - 'that ain't going to stand!'. How I was wrong. Vertically - a masterpiece. Beats Picasso and Monet by a million miles - and a half. The ease of the standard conditions for which I now take for granted is heaven. The FaCtOr of this is that the PS2 doesn't need the vertical stand - I could try and calculate the weight moments to find out what force you need to apply to make it topple over, but in my standard situation, I don?t need it.

So what does the PS2 vertical stand offer? Well, it makes it more stable. You can thrash around the controllers and the PS2 will only slide across the table and fall off rather than crash through the table. An ingenious bit of plastic, yes. Necessary, no. Unless your a violent gamer or an avid multiplayer gamer, don't get one. Its £20 of useless plastic.

The future? Well, maybe a marble version. Now that WOULD be cool. I'd get one of those, and then I might just give my PS2 a tongue and groove finish. There is no future for the stand, or it could be compared next to obscure spare car parts - no one knows what they do, there just there - for sale.
