Advantages: Huge Selection, Cheap, Fast, Easy
Disadvantages: None.
If you are a defender of village blockbuster stores, this may not be your cup of tea, because it is a new concept in rental that is more reasonable, more convienient and has a much better selection that any high street rental store can offer.
It's quite simple really. You go on Amazon.co.uk (after you have registered for the DVD rental) and you look for whatever film it is that you fancy watching. There are thousands upon thousands of films on Amazon and pretty much all are available for rental, so the selection is massive!
You make a little list, which you can constantly update. The list has the films you want to see next, in the order than you want to see them, and everytime you return a DVD, Amazon will dispatch the next one on your list.
The DVDs arrive by First Class Post. An envelope with the postage paid is provided for returning them, when you finish watching, you send the DVD back via any post box.
The plans are quite cheap. They start at about £3.99 for two DVDs a month which isn't bad, and they increase by small amounts every time. Especially when you consider the wide range and increased convienience, I think that this is a fantastic price.
I thoroughly recommend this new concept to anyone, especially film buffs and I predict that the whole rental industry will move in this direction in the future.
Summary: Absoloutely Brilliant!
