Not my favourite electrical store (Comet)

Advantages: Good Variety

Disadvantages: Staff aren't very helpful, very pricey

I hardly use this store anymore, a few bad experiences in one store can put you off for life, and thats exactly what happened with Comet. There's not really one thing I could pin point thats caused my bad experiences, think it's just everything rolled into one.

The store in Inverness is a good size, with a large variety of items, I always get drawn to the t.v's in here because they are displayed well and I always see something I like. They do have loads of other items like computers, cookers, fridges and freezers, mobile phones, coffee makers and loads more.

They can sometimes have good offers on in store but if it's not on sale it is often way over-priced and you can find the same thing cheaper in another shop.

In the few Comet shops that I have been in I've always had the same kind of experience with the staff. Or lack of staff should I say, they are always under staffed and you will be waiting forever to get help. Mind you that could be a good thing because when you do get help half the time they either seem fed up or they haven't got a clue about the product.

If you do end up buying something from the shop and you buy it remember to be strong willed about your choices, they will try so hard to sell you insurance and even when you say no they still go on and on about it to try and get you to change your mind. I've never needed the insurance and think especially for cheaper products theres no point in getting it.

Summary: I will go in the store if there's no other electrical shops nearby
