Excellent Service From Comet (Comet)

I have always been a little unsure about Comet after a bad experience with their in store staff some years ago so I have to admit to being wary of shopping there again. It is amazing just how long a bad impression can last.

Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised. I wanted to buy some speakers for my television and had no idea what I wanted or what I was doing. The store itself was bright, clean and welcoming and I went up to a member of staff who was standing by the counter and explained what I wanted. He said that he himself was not very knowledgeable about TV speakers but that his colleague, James, was the man to ask. He then paged him and he came to me assistance.

The range of goods is huge from TV to computer gadgets. My local branch is only small but I believe that larger branches stock just about anything electronic or electrical that you could think of.

I explained what I wanted and that I did not want to pay out a huge amount of money for a surround sound system. He asked for my TV model and asked how old it was because I had little idea of the technical specifications. TV's are not more thing!

Anyway he eventually offered my two choices of speakers that would work with my system. The boxes were rather large so I arranged for the one I had chosen to be delivered. I was also reassured that if the speakers were not right for any reason I should contact Comet and they would replace them.

The box arrived three days later, free of charge, and I was quite dismayed to discover that the connectors did not fit my television. I called the store and spoke to James who dropped off an adaptor on his way home, at no extra charge.

Now that is what I call excellent service.

Summary: Great shopping experience, they ccertainly won me back as a customer
