Disadvantages: Failure in delivery promises, incorrect items delivered, illegal charging of VAT on postal costs.

I ordered a canon scanner that was a 'stock item' on the Monday and paid for item including delivery the following day - (and was charged VAT on delivery when postal charges are exempt).
The item failed to materialise so I e-mailed as there is no provision for telephoning on internet orders. On Thursday I received a reply to the mail saying the item had been out of stock(!) and they had ordered in the requested scanner and despatched it. Their parcel arrived today (Friday) and it was not the scanner I ordered but an inferior make. I refused to sign for it and have e-mailed eclipse again and demanded a full, immediate refund. I told them that if I had seen their reviews on this website, I would definitely have given them a wide berth!

Summary: Desparately poor service, delays in delivery and wrong goods sent.
