Advantages: Cheap, That's about it.

Disadvantages: Unreliable, Dreadful service, Poor quality goods

Where do I begin?

Firstly, some tips for you if you are daft enough to buy from Eclipse. NEVER, order on-line. EVER! There are no stock level indicators on the website, whcih seems to be the biggest problem with Eclipse. A friend of mine asked me to build a system for him, and with a budget of £600 in hand, I was lured by the fantastically low prices Eclipse were offering, and FREE delivery! I ordered via the internet, and opted for next day delivery. I ordered late on a Sunday night, so thought everything would be sent out Monday, and with me Tuesday. I phoned Monday to confirm my internet order (which they told me not to do, as all internet orders must be conducted through email, but a guy reluctantly helped me), and was told everything was in stock, and would be sent out that day. The next day, when I thought I was going to get the parts, they did not show, so I phoned at 4pm to ask why, If I had paid for next day delivery. I was told that three of the ten or so items were out of stock, and would not be in stock for another four days at least. So, I expected to get the majority of the parts the next day, with some to follow. BUT NO! They tuned up on Thursday, with the rest of the parts a week later! Would they refund my delivery charge? HELL NO! And why? Because I didn't get the name of the guy who told me they were all in stock in the first place! I spoke to the "sales manager", who couldn't care less. The tower case they sent me was not white like it was on the website, it was grey and blue, and the cheapest, nastiest bit of shit ever. I told the "sales manager" this, and he told me (actual words) "Not my problem mate, speak to customer services".

Please do not let the prices fool you. They are cheap, because they sell mostly OEM stuff, no boxes etc. If you order online and choose free delivery, good luck, because you might be waiting a long time (two weeks once). The stories I could tell you about this co
mpany...I was lured back to them by cheap prices about four times before I saw sense and went to a company who understands customer service, like CCL or Aria. You might have to pay a bit extra for postage etc, but you get real retail products and prompt delivery. I spent about £2k with them in total, and each time there was a problem, wrong goods, late delivery, goods missing, poor quality of goods, awful customer service. They pass you about the office and nobody wants your call if you have a problem. And the management couldn't give a toss.

If you must buy from them, phone them, make sure the item you want is in stock, check if it's a retail or OEM product and pay the extra for delivery. And get the name of the person you spoke to, and the time you spoke to them. I would not recommend this company at all. You can find companies in Micro Mart who might be a quid or two more expensive, but are worth it.
