Thought I might comment on a great shopping trip today at Eclipse Computers.I have been using this shop in Coventry for almost 10 years now and I am still surprised how they keep their product range up to date and their prices so low.Brought myself enough bits for a new system today and still saved a few quid, well happy with that.Give them a try.

Stay away!!!! Awful company and even worse customer service. Sold me a faultymotherboard then refused to give me a refund. Now having to go through my bank andtrading standards to try and get my money back. They think they are above the law andaren't interested in helping you once they have your money. They might be the cheapest butwhen you end up with a £150 dead motherboard and no PC for weeks/ months it's really notworth it!

..because they built a system for me in which they left the CD-ROM unplugged. Of course I only found this out by invalidating my warranty and opening the PC. The lack of customer service and cost of return made it the only option for me. I have never seen so much ribbon cable in one place. Literally yards of the stuff. Terrible construction. This was a long while ago but it doesn't look as if the company has changed much.Still, at least I'm not afraid to delve into a PC now.

I ordered £530 of computer components on their website late on Sunday evening. DO NOT buy from this company... They are non professionals attempting to run a professional business and doing it extremely badly.Expect Delays, Poor Communications, Lies, Excuses and Ignorance.They also advertise products that they do not have in stock. The Low prices are a Poisened Apple and by the time you recieve your goods their value will probably have significantly depreciated... Unfortunately this is not an exagguration.They are however extremely efficient at taking money out of your account so watch out.

I ordered my item off their internet site, but on receipt , found it wasn't compatible with the item i wanted to use it with. i sent the item back, but they wanted to keep £10 + vat for restocking charges to cover their delivery and testing costs!!! When I pointed out the Distant Selling Regulations, they claimed i had 'waived my rights'!!! I have now reported them to Consumer Direct as they have no respect for consumers or the law of the land.

I am not a great computer person, I know how to set one up and how to use one but I would never dream of building or fixing one. I have trouble recognising and reconciling comments. When I lived near Coventry I always bought off Eclipse Computers as their price point was excellent and if ever I had a problem it was promptly sorted out. Even though I have moved to Lincolnshire I still source my major PC purchases from Eclipse and get excellent bargains and service. They are about the cheapest in the market place and if there is a problem you can get through to them on the phone (unlike many internet companies) I think a bit of give and take needed and I am happy to provide the balance re Eclipse Compters. I bought two silver IDE drive caddies from them.1. They arrived in black not silver.2. There were no stands enclosed as advertised.3. The cases were put together incorrectly and had to be re-assembled.3. One item was faulty.4. when I returned faulty item they said it was working fine.5. Both power supplies blew-up!6. I asked for a refund and they sent me back two new power supplies which I know will blow-up again!7. When you call it's on an expensive line and they never call you back!

I would like to be able to give you the details of my purchase, unfortunately I felt unable to make one. I had decided on the computer and specification ( total cost over £1,000) but phoned their customerservices to check on the warranty details and had no answer after 15 minutes. I therefore emailed them with my query (making it clear that I wanted to buy something) and 6 days later I am still awaiting a reply. This lack of care is worrying and has stopped me from spending my money with them.

Worst company, stay clear of them. They send me a wrong product and also refused to take the product back. Please stay clear of them.

As confirmed by others on this thread, this is the worst company (of any type) I have dealt with. I wont bore you with the drawn out saga of actually trying to get the items I ordered, but special mention must go to the customer support that ranged from objectionable to downright offensive. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Ordered a gtx graphics card of these 3 weeks ago told 3-5 days delivery, Phoned them 7 days later to see about order and was told they where out of stock and they where unsure as to when i would get it so i asked for a refund numerous phone calls l8r i still havent got my £150 back or my graphics card if only i had read this site b4 hand. Also with this company if you ask to speak to a manager they will try to fob you off and not put you through phone this number 024 7650 0100 instead of the muppets in the call center i would stay way clear from these unless you have got money to throw away i am taking this to the trading standards and they know i am but dont seem to bothered

My experience of Eclipse Computers doesn't tally with the most recent postings. I have ordered several items recently and all were delivered promptly. I did order a PSU which was the wrong tyoe for my motherboard (no 2x4 CPU connectors), but Eclipse did exchange it for a suitable unit.I ordered a 300GB Fujitsu UBS 2.0 backup hard-drive which arrived about 3 days later. Good delivery but even better when I realised they had supplied me with a 500GB unit at no extra cost. Fairs fair, they have provided a good service. When I do go in, i am struck by the almost neanderthall grunting of some of their customers, so it's no wonder they must get fed up with some of their customers.

I just ordered 5x Western Digital WD2500BEVT 2.5" hard drives from eclipse computers. Only to be phoned on the 30th December and told that the item is out of stock and would I accept a alternative.Now if I wanted a different product I would have ordered a different product. How can you run a business like this its absolutely obsurd. To make thinks worse they have charged my debit card £177.00 and I have to wait until Saturday to get in touch with them as they are closed New years eve and new years day.I will be sticking to the likes of Dabs and ebuyer from now on.

Wanted a BFG GTX 275 OC. Phoned on Monday to check if it was in stock, and was told it was, but would have to order online to get online prices. Ok, I thought so I placed the order online there and then. Phoned on the Thursday to check if it was despatched and to find out delivery details and was told that the item was out of stock (after being told it was IN stock!), but they had already taken my money from my bank account! So with no other funds available I was left with no option to buy a slightly lesser card from them than I wanted, instead of being able to shop elsewhere as I would've done. After reading the reviews on here, I'm feeling even worse now.Think I'll contact trading standards. I'm totally disgusted by these chancers.
