      Order made for in stock goods to be delivered in 2-5 days. After a week I ask them where my stuff is. They claim its out of stock and sent me an email last week. This was never received. I ask for refund then they say that will take 3 days. I protest and they then offer refund by end of working day. Rubbish service do not use!!

      PURE RUBBISH!!!
      Canon EOS 7d and periphials.
      Initial problems whereby payment had been made but not approved due to security check by CC co - this was not their fault but they did not follow up with sufficient service.
      Their website hours of telephone support is incorrect and too ridgid Payment rectified I was assured personally over the telephone the items were in stock and my order would be treated promply and as urgent - it wasn't and I received no further communication.
      I chased up after a week and the order was still at the processing stage and they could not even tell me when it would be dispatched or why there was a hold up - NO MANAGERS WOULD SPEAK TO ME although the customer service rep was sincere & called me back when she said she would but could offer no help. I cancelled my order and am awaiting a refund!

      I ordered an 'IN STOCK' item (Trust graphics tablet TB-7300) on Saturday 31st. July 2010 and received an email almost immediately advising me that PurelyGadgets had accepted the order and taken payment.On Tuesday morning I received an email (in broken English) advising me that the item was out of stock, wasn't expected in stock in the near future, and suggesting that I pick a similar item from their catalogue. If I did pick a similar item then I would be expected to pay any difference in price. I told PurelyGadgets that it was up to them to offer me a suitable alternative. Wednesday I received anemail from PurelyGadgets which informed me that PurelyGadgets did not have an alternative and that the item would not be in stock within the next month I cancelled the order and requested my money back. I agree with the reviewer who said "NOT HAPPY WITH THESE IDIOTS AT ALL SO FAR. I assume their idea of 'In Stock' means that there are some in Japan, and we can get one for you, but it will take a while!"

      Out of pocket due to Purely Gadgets losing my memory card

      The initial purchase went smoothly. However when anything goes wrong it is a different matter. After about a year of using my digital camera it developed a fault so I sent it back for repair. In my parcel I included the battery, as well as the memory card loaded in the camera. When my repaired camera was returned, it appeared not to store many images so I realised that the memory card was missing. Despite assurances from me that the memory card was in the camera when I sent it and numerous emails, they flatly refused to accept their error and said that I did not include my memory card in the parcel I sent to them. After sales customer care is clearly non-existent. I will now have to pay £30 to purchase another one. Needless to say that I will definitely NOT be purchasing the replacement from Purely Gadgets!

      BEWARE!!! THEY MIGHT BE CHEAPER BUT I ADVISE PAY A BIT MORE SOMEWHERE ELSE.Ordered Sigma lens for cannon along with several other items. Order total near £800. Everything in stock. i was security checked by company and told my order would be with me in the next few days. My order spent over a week in 'packing' then put on hold. I phoned twice and my email not responded too asking why not delivered. Like the other reviewer I was eventually told the lens was damaged so they had to re-order. Reading reviews on other sites this is a common excuse for delays. i have cancelled my order in disgust and they have had my money since placing the order. I am now awaiting a refund.................wi ll let you know.........

      You will probably not receive your item

      I ordered the product (Canon WP-DC11)as it was the best value and was clearly advertised as being in stock. Purelygadgets then continually pushed back the shipping date for a wide variety of reasons, at first it was a 'logistics' issue, then they got the product but it had been damaged and needed to be replaced, then they kept me waiting for another few weeks. The worst thing is that you have to personally chase them up all the time - they kept telling me it was 'next week', until eventually they sent a rather cryptic email to say they would not have it for product in stock for the foreseeable future. At this point, after waiting for about a month I canceled the order and got a full refund three days later. They kept trying to get me to order something else from the website instead and I had to push them quite hard to get them to agree to refund me!! All in all, the customer service is appalling, all emails are mass-generated and often irrelevant to your actual inquiry. The worst thing about this company is that they are clearly completely dishonest - the product I ordered continued to show up as 'in stock' on the website throughout my ordeal, it only after I brought this up with them right at the end that they actually changed it to 'out of stock'.

        Ordered a camera online and had a problem with my credit being flagged up as fraudulent transaction. I phoned Purely Gadgets and ordered over the phone. Told email confirmation would follow that never showed up. Emailed to find out if order had gone through no reply. Phoned the sales number and told office closed despite being during the day. Wanted the cancel the order as it was now becoming way too much hassle but can't contact. The prices may be slightly cheaper on some items but from now on I will stick to a company with a superior customer service dept. Also no postage choices just the 'slow' one which is vague at 'usual 3 to 5 days'. All in all don't know why I bothered and wished I had reead some of these reviews before buying from them.
        In my opinion avoid. There are plently of other buying choices

        Beware of this company. Ordered an asus netbook, had to call numerous times as no feedback about delivery. Was told it was apparently sent, but did not arrive. Then story changed: item was faulty and sent to manufacturer, now waiting for new delivery. After 4 weeks I finally cancelled my order. Was promised to get my money back within 2-3 days, now still waiting after 3 weeks. My experience with this company was the worst ever-no reliable customer service ( even to call them you have to wait an average of 5-6 min to be able to speak to someone), no feedback, unreliable information, and finally I have to chase my money! Am so angry but just read some of the other reviews of this company! Better pay a little more and go to a reliable shop.

        Do your research, and buy from a respected company

        I ordered a Sony Cyber-shot digital Camera from Purely Gadgets in July 2007. After 11 months it developed a fault (the view-finder was very dim). I returned it to Purely Gadgets as my camera was covered by their 18 month guarantee.
        A couple of weeks later I was informed that my camera would need to be returned to the supplier for futher repairs, and that this could take more than 28 days. At this point I was quite concerned as I had done some research online, and read many negative reviews about them (some happy customers out there that liked the prices-but I didnt read one positive experience from anyone that needed to return an item. I had learnt that their items are mainly grey imports-meaning the Sony warranty on my camera was void (the sony guarantee paper work was missing when my camera was delivered), you simply have to trust that they will honour their own guarantee).
        A month later my camera was returned, with no accompanying paper work at all. I emailed Purely Gadgets to ask for a copy of the report. They emailed back with the 'report' attatched- it was extremely basic-simply stating my details,return no.,camera make, and the fault found. This was, that it had come in contact with water. I know that my camera had never gottton wet! so I was quite outraged by this. I asked for the details/address of the repair centre,(past reviewers had discovered that they do not used authorised repair centres, but their own technition/s.) There response was- 'due to contractual obligations we are not permitted to supply any information regarding the service station.'
        In summary the prices may be tempting, but their warranty is basically worthless.

          Beware!

          I ordered a Nikon AF-S 17-35mm f/2.8 lens from this site for £850, which seemed like a very good price. When I received the lens from PurelyGadgets the lens box showed clear signs of bad treatment (dented corners, etc) which happened either during transport or before. Such a camera lens is high-quality optics and should not be thrown around. I sent it back and asked for a factory-new one in impeccable condition, including the box. What I've been sent the second time was a lens where the zoom ring did not turn smoothly when rotating all the way from 17 to 35mm. I also sent this lens back and asked again for an impeccable lens to be sent. To my annoyance their customer service said that they will not get this lens any more from their supplier and that I will get a refund. What??!! Clearly they tried to get rid of their last 2 Nikon AF-S 17-35mm lenses which to me clearly seemed to have been returned products by other unsatisfied customers! I note that after my dealings with PurelyGadgets it seems that in addition to the hassle I had, I have also born the cost for sending back twice (!) lenses that were not in mint condition (all by registered delivery). This is not how it should be, or is it? PurelyGadgets? Never again!

          Purely Gadgets is a company I will never use again.

          I ordered a Nikon rechargeable battery from them. They sent me a £300+ digital waterproof camera by mistake. To attempt to help the company and act honestly, I returned it to them immediately by special delivery, enclosing the receipts for the postage. How wrong I was.

          Despite acknowledging they had received the camera, they never even said thank you for saving them £300. Instead they claimed they had never received the receipts and refused to refund the postage. Furthermore when the battery finally arrived, it came with an invoice for four times the original cost they had quoted.

          Despite copious correspondence, I have got nowhere with them. I have tried on many occasions to contact anyone more senior within the organisation and had no success. E-mails to the founder and the managing director have got nowhere either.

          Don't ever use this company

          Do not get involved with them undera any circumstance.

          I purchased a Fuji sp9500 camera for £347 in May 06. The on/off switch failed in April. I was advised to return the item to them and it would be repaired.

          I posted the camera on 24th April 2007.

          More than three months later, I still have not received my camera. My last five E Mails have not been responded to, despite being promised that the camera would be back a week ago.

          I have sent over 40 E Mails, made over 50 phone calls and still am no further forward.

          Purchased a sanyo xacti camera from them. It arrived in good time but was missing the vital battery and charger! To me it looked like they had sold me a returned item. Rang them and on hold for 25 minutes, then they answered and was immediately cut off. Tried ringing again but unable to get through, automatic voice message saying they had problems - they got that right. Sent them an email, received reply 4 days later, asking for number on box. The number was not on the box as sticker had already been removed before posting to me! Since then I have had no communication, no battery or charger. I had to buy a replacement battery/charger from another website. This company is a joke and if you want any come back on any purchase then don't buy from these cowboys. Spend a few pounds more from a reliable one.
