I think it is fair to say that the Elizabeth Arden range of skincare products is a luxury brand. I had coveted this eight hour cream for some time but couldn't justify spending so much money on something which didn't have a specific purpose. How wrong was I? This is more than just a skin protectant. This is Elizabeth Arden's, gently pink, soothingly fragranced, reassuringly expensive skin protectant. Thanks to my mum for finally buying me some as a birthday gift.

Packaged in pure white, with the famous red door on the box, this small tube of cream is a minor miracle.
Remove the white and silver screw cap and with a gentle squeeze you reveal a thick, rose pink gel with a pleasing feminine scent. Picture yourself lying naked on a bed of dusky rose petals, American Beauty style, and you'll get the picture.
Applied to the skin it is heavy and greasy but seems to melt in no time as my thirsty skin slurps it down beneath the surface. I tried it first on my elbows and knees as they were the most neglected areas of my body and the results were apparent immediately. My skin felt soft and supple with no oily residue. Many hours later my skin was still hydrated and I was suitably impressed.

This wonder cream can be used anywhere on the body, including the lips and eyes. Its great for keeping my eyebrows tidy. Used under mascara it protects my lashes from drying out. Used sparingly on my lips it is better than any balm I've ever tried. It is soothing and healing on minor burns and makes an effective after sun on scorched bits. I have even smoothed a little onto my split ends! I still have the same tube eighteen months on, so it actually represents great value for money.
I thoroughly recommend this as an investment buy. You won't regret it.
