Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturizing Hand Treatment
by Gigglebox I'm a huge fan of the Elizabeth Arden 'Eight Hour Cream' range and this hand cream is excellent. I had a small tube of it thanks to a plane bought duty free box set last year and was distraught when it was all gone... so was very happy to receive a nice big tube of it for Christmas this year! It is expensive but works so well that I ... think it is worth it - a small amount goes a long way as it spreads easily and absorbs fast. It is a touch on the greasy side this formula so you have to make sure you don't use too much but you can always put any excess on the elbows which works a treat too on dry skin there. I have quite dry patches on my hands which I hate, particularly in between the knuckle bones and that bit of skin between the finger and thumb - some hand creams are too watery and make little noticeable difference but this works and the quality of my skin is immediately better after application. It stays on your hands so you will feel moisturised so a good long time (some creams seem to almost evaporate after a while) but you will need to re-apply after you wash your hands or do washing up etc. As with all Eight Hour cream products, it has that distinctive smell which may not be to everyone's taste (not unpleasant but perhaps a little medicinal in style) and the packaging of the regular tube is nothing exciting to look at. This is too good for me to take to work to have on my desk - colleagues have a habit of helping themselves - so will use a cheaper alternative and keep the good stuff at home! I would definitely recommend this hand cream as an overnight treatment too with the white gloves, you may feel a bit funny doing it but trust me, you will wake up to lovely smooth soft hands. Elizabeth Arden Red Door Perfumed Body Lotion
by sooty1987 Elizabeth Arden Red Door Perfumed Body Lotion - 100mls for £3.99 I really like Elizabeth Arden products and I was astonished to find Red Door Body Lotion for £3.99 in my local TJ Hughes Store. In the past I have paid around £16.99 for 200mls so £3.99 for 100mls is a real bargain. The only disadvantage is that it was not ... boxed. Elizabeth Arden Red Door Perfume has been around for over 20 years and is used by women all over the world - it is one of Elizabeth Arden's best selling fragrances. Red Door Body Lotion was first introduced in 1982 and since then millions of tubes of this body lotion have been sold worldwide. This body lotion is available in 100ml and 200ml sizes and can be purchased at all Elizabeth Arden Cosmetic Counters Worldwide and at online stores like fragrance direct etc. The body lotion comes in a white plastic tube with a bright red lid. The lid of the body lotion sits at the bottom of the tube making it very easy to dispense the lotion. The tube has the Red Door logo on it which is a picture of a red door, it has the name of the body lotion and the name of the maker - Elizabeth Arden. The body lotion is a shiny white colour. It is a very thick and luxurious body lotion and as soon as you apply it you can smell the Red Door fragrance, it's a very strong and distinctive smell. The body lotion sinks into skin really well and offers intensive hydration for the skin. The moisturisation on skin lasts all day long, it's a very effective body lotion, it's especially nice if followed by Red Door Perfume. The fragrance of this body lotion has an inviting blend of sweet fruits and heavy florals, it has lower notes of moss, woods, spice and amber. The fragrance is very long lasting and instantly recognisable. To sum the fragrance up it is like a spicy floral bouquet of winter flowers. It smells divine. If you can find a 100ml tube of this body lotion at TJ Hughes for £3.99 then I am sure you will be very pleased with this body lotion. Lovely to give as a gift and at this price 5 Dooyoo stars. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturizing Hand Treatment
by ld75454 *Introduction* Whilst flying home from Egypt in April, my mum bought Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturising Hand Treatment. As she had bought a new bottle of this product, she gave me her old bottle which was still half full! Result. She had told me how fantastic she thought it was but I didn't quite believe ... that it could be as good as she made out. I have since used the half a bottle that she gave me and when talking about the product, sound like an echo of what she would say to me. *About the Product* The perfect combination to the original Elizabeth Arden classic. This fast-absorbing gel cream for the hands moisturises for up to eight hours. Smoothing emollients smooth and soften rough, weather-exposed skin. Signs of dryness and cracking are reversed so hands look and feel soft and touchable. *Application* Applying this hand cream is as simple as applying any hand cream is. All you need to do is flip open the lid, squeeze as much or as little of the hand cream into the palm of your hand and then massage it into your skin. I don't like to use a great deal as the cream is expensive and also luxurious which means that a very small amount, like the size of a pea will moisturise both of your hands just as well as if you smother them with the cream. *Price and Availability* This hand cream can be bought at the very expensive price of £23. Yes you did hear me correctly, £23. This is probably one of the most expensive hand creams that you will ever come across but it is very good value for money as it works amazingly to soften and moisturise your hands. Only you can are able to decide whether you would spend this amount of money on hand cream. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturising Hand Treatment is not widely available to buy. You can buy it from most of the larger Boots stores as well as Debenhams, John Lewis and House of Fraser. The one other place that you can buy it from is online at www.boots.com. *My Opinion* The packaging: This intensive moisturising hand treatment is packaged in a bottle which uses the flip open lid as the base to stand on. When you open the lid, you will see a small dispensing hole. The thin plastic tube is flexible which makes the bottle easy to use and dispense the hand treatment when you squeeze it gently. This bottle is white in colour and all over the bottle is the number 8. On the whole, I quite like the packaging of the product. Although I wouldn't say there is anything particularly special about it, it looks expensive and does the job adequately. I certainly feel like it is money well spent. Colour, texture and smell: The colour of this hand treatment is white with a gleaming tint. When it is rubbed into your hands, there is no colour residue left on your hands, it simples soaks into your skin. The texture of this product is thick and luxurious with a capital L! When hand creams are usually thick, I find that they don't soak effectively into your skin but this definitely isn't the case with this hand cream. It is absorbed quickly into your skin especially if you do not use an excessive amount. There must be something bad about the texture you're thinking? Actually, no there isn't. It isn't sticky which is a pet hate of mine when it comes to hand creams. It is perfect in consistency and it dries almost instantly into your skin and leaves them feeling soft and refreshed. Now for the smell. This is probably the least appealing thing about the product as far as I am concerned. Although it isn't truly awful, it has a slight chemical scent and is certainly not a smell that I would choose to have lingering on my skin. Luckily, the scent doesn't last an extremely long time and linger and it isn't particularly strong which is why I am happy to tolerate it as it has so many other positive features. If I were Elizabeth Arden, I would look into getting a smell like that of Soap & Glory Hand Food and it will be an all round winner! Longevity of the product: A bottle of Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturising Hand Treatment will last you approximately 5-6 months when using a very small amount of the product every day. When you look at the price compared to how long the bottle will last, it doesn't seem like you're paying an extortionate price. Does this product live up to the claim that it is a fast-absorbing gel cream for the hands moisturises for up to eight hours? Yes and yes. I have found that the cream absorbs extremely quickly into my skin when I massage a small amount into the front and back of my hands. It moisturises them instantly and definitely agree with the claim that it lasts for up to eight hours. Does it smooth and soften rough, weather-exposed skin? Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturising Hand Treatment definitely fulfils the claim that is smooths and softens rough, weather exposed skin. I hadn't particularly had dry skin in the past but it has been truly awful since my move to Belgium. The water dries my skin out terribly but this product works its magic to make my skin feel soft and silky. Are signs of dryness and cracking are reversed so hands look and feel soft and touchable? Yes, yes, yes! I could not answer this question with anything but a yes because any sign of dryness of your hands are well and truly reversed the second that the moisturiser is rubbed into your skin. After application of this hand treatment, your hands feel like they have been pampered for hours at a spa. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturising Hand Treatment is an intense and very effective cream which leaves your hands feeling beautifully moisturised, soft and smooth. It is even perfect to keep your cuticles soft by simply rubbing in the smallest amount of the product into them. *Would I Recommend This Product?* Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturising Hand Treatment is undoubtedly the best hand cream that is available to buy but it comes at a high price. If you have the money to splash out on this product then fantastic! But if you can't afford to buy this hand treatment for use on a regular basis, buy it as a one off and use sparingly. I honestly do not think that you will regret it. *Overall* I absolutely love Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturising Hand Treatment. After using this product, my hands are left feeling more amazing than I can even begin to describe. I have used a number of different products whilst over in Belgium because the water dries my skin out greatly and I have found myself applying hand cream every few hours so that they don't feel uncomfortable and I think that this Elizabeth Arden version is easily the best that I have used. It is the only one that I can apply twice a day and my hands feel softened and moisturised.
