... label. The cream is actually a balm, its an orangey colour and come in a jar of 30ml. You can use it on all sorts of little jobs. I'm particularly fond of using it on my very sore, dry chapped lips. It sinks in rather than just sitting on top and evaporating later. You don't need to reapply too often and although the smell isn't the most amazing thing about the product it doesn't taste foul. To me it has a kind of medicated smell almost, like its definitely good for you. There are many apparent uses for this &quo...more

Premium Review Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream: A Definite Recommendation (144 words)
by - written on 18/11/07 (Useful, 149 readings)
Rating:

I had read so many good things about Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream I was expecting to be disappointed but I was very pleased and this is defiently a product where you should beleive the hype. Now its not exactly a cream, It is more of a balm and unless you have very dry skin I wouldnt use it as a moisturiser but it has a million other uses. It can be used on insect bites, cuts, grazes, chapped lips, windburn, on ur nose when you have a cold, to soften your cuticles, dry skin on feet. You only need a small amount and although you may think it is expensive it is well worth the money. The one thing I dont like is the smell as it is quite strong but as you dont ned to use ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Miracle Cream (1108 words)

On a recent trip away with work I was somewhat shocked to notice that the skin on my face was starting to peel quite dramatically, obviously due to dryness. I've never really suffered with dry skin before, except in the middle of winter, and therefore hadn't packed anything other than my daily moisturiser which wasn't really doing anything drastic to solve the problem. My friend offered to lend me some of her "miracle cream" which would apparantly sort out my problem in a matter of hours... and it did just that as well! I'd never heard of the cream before which is produced by Elizabeth Arden and is more commonly known as 8 Hour Cream Skin ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream: not a product i liked (341 words)

This product always seems to be billed as the wonder cream of the century - the one thing you can slap on to any part of your body and see stunning results in only eight hours. i was convinced by the sales patter and invested my hard earned cash, my dreams of beautiful skin, and applied with gusto. The cream is more of a paste or thick gel - the first thing that i was slightly disappointed with. it is an orangish paste which goes on clear but is very thick and can be sticky. the smell of it is fairly medicinal as well, which i didn't find unpleasant but can be a little too much in large doses. i've read that you can use the eight hour cream on ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review An expensive alternative to Vaseline (295 words)

Rating:

A firm favourite with many celebs, Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream is touted as the world's biggest beauty secret. Created in 1930, it is a cream (actually more like a gel/balm) that can be used to treat minor skin irritations such as chapping, peeling, flaking and sunburn. It also has more cosmetic uses like defining cheekbones, softening cuticles, as well as acting as an in-flight moisturiser, to name but a few. It comes in a handy 50ml tube and cost around £20. I thought I was going to love this product having read loads of good reviews about it but to me this cream is just far too sticky to be used as anything but really expensive lip ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream: Love it or Eight it (361 words)

There are times when the hype surrounding a product actually serves to put off potential customers. I'd heard so much about Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant that I thought it couldn't possibly be any good. Oh how wrong I was... So, there I was, happily skiing in France, having been a good bunny and applied SPF to all exposed areas, and concentrating on not falling over. Little did I know that I was burning, in the areas where my ski gear had rubbed the suncream off - basically leaving me, that evening, with a 'burn beard' - complete with sideburns. Very attractive. It started to peel. Mmmmmmmm. Lovely. A friend proffered her tube of ...  Read the complete review
