Ok so this is the wonder product that is always mentioned in Ok, Heat etc.
It was never clear from the magazines what it was exactly or what it could be used for, although the mags always said everything! But eventually curiosity got the better of me and I bought some cheap off ebay for about £8.

So the packaging. Well it comes in a nice white tube and simply says Eight Hour Cream Skin protectant. Now here for me is the crucial bit- it does not say moisturiser but protectant. Now this to me implies more of a barrier cream than a skin absorbing moisturiser and may explain why it looks and smells the way it does!

So the cream! Well for starters it is not really a cream at all but a thick sticky brown gel! It does not really seem to sink into your skin but is more of a barrier ie protectant. The consistency and product itself reminds me a lot of vaseline just medicated and I can see why it would be good for chapped lips. I also found it useful when my little girl has sore patches of excema- it did help heal them up very fast!

However I am of the opinion that it is a lot of money for what is essentially just a premium vaseline and I would not buy it again due to this factor as there are a lot of other cheaper similar quality alternatives out there.

Summary: Useful to have around but expensive
