Advantages: Protects stressed skin

Disadvantages: Doesn't smell very pleasant

I have been a regular user of this cream for several years now.

The eight hour cream comes packaged in a posh looking cardboard box with the Elizabeth Arden logo on the front. Inside the box is the tube of cream.
The tube is made of thick white plastic with a very simple logo and product title on the front. The back of the tube has some product information written upon it. The cream claims to soothe minor skin irritations, symptoms of chapping, peeling or flaking due to minor burns, sunburn, windburn scrapes, abrasions and cracked lips.

The tube has a screw top cap. Once you open the cap the cream is possibly not what you would expect. It's more like a gel than a cream and slightly sticky - almost like a very runny kind of vaseline. Colour wise it's a very pale orange.

When you apply it to your skin it creates a kind of barrier effect, so really protects sensitve skin areas from the elements. It helps me ward off mild patches of eczema when the weather gets really cold.

The cream does not smell very pleasant. It reminds me of Vics Vapour rub (if anyone remembers that!) as it has a slightly minty medicated smell.

I never apply make up over this cream as it would not provide a good base - it's just to sticky and leaves too much of a residue. But, its brilliant to protect your skin or help irritated patches to heal.

The price of this cream can be high, at around £23 for a 50ml tube on the high street. However, you can buy it a lot cheaper online - around the £12 mark at which price it is a great skin defence cream.
I suffer from stressed out skin in the Winter and this cream has been my lifesaver.

Summary: A luxury way to soothe your skin
