Advantages: Smells good, has a nicer texture than vaseline

Disadvantages: Too expensive for a product which is essentially petroleum jelly

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream has became a cult favourite amongst beauty experts. It has been around for years and has followers of all ages.

It is supposed to be a very intense moisturising cream for all over the body. It is really only appropriate for extremely dry skin and could not be used as a traditional moisturiser as it is so thick- one of the main ingredients is petrolium jelly (vaseline)

My favourite places to use it are dry patched of skin such as elbows and knees and is also a good cuticle softener. Where I use it most however is on dry, chapped lips which I tend to get all the time.

I think this product is great but to be honest its really just an expensive vaseline. Ok so it doesn't smell as good and doesn't have the glamorous name or packaging, but it really does do a very similar job. Eight Hour Cream is a nice occasional treat but usually I prefer to spend my money elsewhere.

Summary: Fine, but probably best to spend your money on something else
