I received this as a present in a gift set of the hand cream and a small 30ml tube of the original Eight Hour Cream. The tube is the usual classy Elizabeth Arden style with a pale tube and the Elizabeth Arden name embossed on it. The product itself is a similar consistency to many other lip-salves in a tube. It is a similar colour to the original Eight Hour Cream (golden amber colour) and has the same distinctive and fairly strong smell. I found the product very easy to apply. I love the original Eight Hour Cream so was keen to try this lip balm when I went skiing this year, as it has an SPF of 15. This lip balm has a slightly medicinal smell to it, similar to that of the original eight hour cream. It's not unpleasant but neither is it particularly inviting. This lip balm goes on very smoothly and left my lips feeling very soft and smooth. It added a slight sheen, but didn't have a glossy look to it once applied. The taste is fairly neutral- slightly of beeswax but certainly not over powering.
