****Elizabeth Arden Handbag Compact****

Never one to miss a "bargain" when i saw that this being offered for free on a website (apart from postage) i decided to give it a try.
Since it was Elizabeth Arden (and had a rrp of £12) i expected the product to be of quite high quality.
The packaging of the compact was quite cheap looking and was made of flimsy plastic. The cover it came in was also cheap and of poor quality. After this i wouldn't have bothered trying the product if it hadn't been for the fact i genuinely do like the brand.
In the compact itself you get two lipsticks,two eyeshadows and a blusher.
Lipsticks-one is a dark red and the other is a more glossy pink colour. I think the red is probably a bit deep for a lot of people but the pink is a nice shade. The product applies well with the free lip brush and lasts an okay amount of time.
Eyeshadows- One is a golden brown colour and the other is a dark brown. The lighter shade looks really nice on and sits well but the darker shade feels more rough on your skin and the shade is not that nice.
Blusher- A skin shade that doesn't really show up on your face that well.
Brushes-The thing i liked most in the kit. This came with three brushes-a blusher brush,an eyeshadow brush and a lipliner. The brushes are quite soft and a perfect size to take on holidays.

Overall i was disappointed with the quality of this and was glad that i did not spend £12 on it.The brushes were ok but this did not have the high quality look and feel to it that i expect from Elizabeth Arden.
