Elizabeth Arden hardworking Toner

I have been using some of the elizabeth arden products for some time now and find that they usually deliver their promises.

WHAT IS THIS?

This toner is meant for oilier skin types and will apparently interpret skin problems as well as exfoliate the skin, clear away excess oil and relieve clogged pores. The toner is oil and fragrance free and is dermatologically tested.

PRODUCT AND PACKAGING...

The toner comes in a rather nice and rather unnecessary box with details of other products on a leaflet inside the box.

The 200ml bottle is plastic which I like because it can't be easily smashed and has a large screw on/off silver lid. Instructions for using the product are written on the back of the bottle.

The toner itself when i look at it looks a kind of aquamarine colour, but thankfully when applied to cotton wool and subsequently to the skin, it is clear. Although it claims to have no fragrance, I can smell a slight astringent smell, probably because it's for more oily skin, and so has to be skin tightening. When I apply the toner to my skin this slightly astringent feeling continues and I can really feel it tightening my skin and closing up the pores. However, it's not unpleasant but really more freshening and doesn't sting my skin.

USING IT...

Simply cleanse the face and after cleansing use cotton wool to sweep the toner across the face avoiding the eye area.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY...

The toner is widely available on line and in store and costs around the £12 mark for 200ml. This does seem a tad expensive but it lasts ages.

OTHER PRODUCTS IN THE RANGE...

There are several other products in the range including;
* Daily hardworking soap
* Daily Moisture Drink
* Comeback Cream
* Clear the way mask
I imagine that these products complement this toner but at the moment I am using an elizabeth arden moisturiser for more mature skin.

VERDICT...

The toner really does make my face feel clean and refreshed and although I have normal skin and this states that it is for oilier skin, i haven't felt that it is too harsh for my skin.

It is easy to apply and because it does the trick with only a small amount of the stuff, the product does last a long time; I have had it three weeks now and there is still plenty left. I can't vouch for the fact that it is in any way intercepting skin problems but it does leave my skin clean and toned, with all last traces of grime gone for a clean face.

If you find that Elizabeth Arden products suit your skin then I would recommend this because it really does seem to work hard.

Thanks for reading.

I havent used toner for what seems like moons ago! I always pick the cheap and cheerful and it works. Great review though for EA fans.

I find toner too harsh on anything other than greasy skin, it tends to dry out the skin. Good review though
