I'm usually faithful to budget brand cosmetic and skin care products but I recently was given some Elizabeth Arden products as a gift including this, the Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant. My tube is only 30ml sized and as such looks like a trial size product. You can also purchase this in larger sized tubes but since Elizabeth Arden is a premium brand be prepared to pay quite a lot - the 50ml sized tube is around £22 at department store cosmetic counters. My tiny tube has very basic instructions and no information about the product printed on the tube itself. The only usage instructions state: "apply librally as often as necessary". The companies ... Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream was initially recommended to me by a close friend, the same friend who has introduced me to many of my most trusted beauty products. I have quite a strict skincare routine, I have rather sensitive skin which if neglected really can look dreadful. I didn?t instantly buy this product, I couldn?t understand what it was or how I would benefit, y?see this cream wont replace your daily moisturiser and cannot be compared to any other product I know. Anyways after much recommendation from both friend and magazine articles alike I finally took the plunge and purchased the cream. This has to be the best £18 I have ever spent on cosmetics? ... I have to say that I wrote this review just because this product kind of took me by surprise. This was given to me (a trial size) by a friend and I stupidly made the assumption it was a moisturiser. When I looked at the tube it said 'skin protectant' and no more. On further inspection on the back I realised that with a trial size, added to the fact that my friend didn't give me the box, confused me further. I unscrewed the cap from the white tube and squeezed. Not a lot happened so I squeezed again. Slowly a bronzed coloured substance came out that to be honest looked more like lip balm than cream. I then jumped on the internet and found that this product is ... Read the complete review

Without professional advice or reading product reviews you would probably never really know what to do with this cream as the only instructions it comes with is 'apply liberally as often as neccessary'. When I first heard about this cream it was hailed as a miracle multi-purpose cream that you could use to moisturise your face and lips and even as a highlighter on top of your make up. I personally would only use it as a face cream and only ever at night for a number of reasons. Firstly, what comes out of the tube isn't cream as we know it, more of a thick waxy balm. It's quite heavy and takes a while to absorb into the skin. I personally put it on ... Read the complete review

Friends of mine for years have raved about this cream so when I saw it at duty free in a London airport I thought I'd buy it and give it a go. I bought a double pack which had two 30ml tubes in - rather small but months later and I haven't finished one of the tubes yet! This cost me about £18 in duty free - so I would say it would cost just over £20 in a normal shop like Boots or Debenhams. You can also get bigger 50ml tubes. Having the double pack was handy though because I can have one in my bags for on the go and one at home so I'm never without one. I had never laid eyes on it before so was surprised when I started using it that it was more of a ... Read the complete review
