Advantages: it has many uses, accentuates cheekbones, good for dry skin

Disadvantages: price

I love Elizabeth Arden and I have been using this product for 8 years. I use to use my mothers and she use to use her grandmother and.........(you know)
This stuff has been around for many years and is as popular as ever and a must-have item in celebrities make-up bags. Catherine Zeta Jones is a huge fan.

Packaging:

It comes in a simple white tube, which you can get in 30 or 50ml. No frills packaging. It is a screw lid, similar to the old-fashioned toothpaste tube and you can control the amount you squeeze. Be careful not to squueze out to much, as you cant get it back in.

Useage:

Just remember a little goes a long way, so dont squeeze out too much, you cant aford to waste it at this price. However I buy a tube a year, and use it regualrly so its not too bad.

What is it?
It is a peachy coloured gel. So why they call it a cream I dont know. It is of a thick consistency and has a floral-ish smel, which is hard to discribe. The smell is strong and when you use this on your lips it has a habit of creeping into your mouth and its hard to get rid of the taste. It feels slightly sticky, so dont use to much on one area.
This gel has many uses - mainly for skin irritation. It soothes chapping, peeling and flaking of minor burns. It can treat sunburn, windburn, scrapes, abrasions or cracked lips.

This product goes with me everywhere I go. I suffer from dry skin and I like too carry a tube in my handbag to put on any dry patches. I have had a bad case of dry skin recently which covered my cheeks. This came in handy, although it didnt completely sort out the dryness, it was great because I was going out that night and wanted to wear makeup so I needed it smoothed. This did just that, although it takes a while to sink in.
I use it on my lips, as it is a great lipbalm (use a little bit) and an even better lipgloss (use a little more), although it is very sticky so use sparingly. It does leave a hint of
orange and it seems to slightly plump my lips as it has a mild tingly effect.
I dont burn so I dont need to use it on sunburn, but I wouldnt reccomend it as it would be sticky. It is very gloopy and gooey and I wouldnt like this slathered all over my body in the sun. Anyway you'd need to use a lot of the tube.
On rare occasions I have slathered it on thicky on my face and let it sink in.However, it does take a few hours to sink in, so I do it the night before. I do find it gives me a glowing look the next day. You can wear this under your skin if you use a light moisturising foundation, as you will get that glossy youthful look. You can not use thick foundation or face powder as you wont get that natural glossy look.

I wouldn't reccomend doing this if you suffer from oily skin as it would make it ten times worse. But makeup wise it is great for a lipgloss and accentuating cheekbones and eyelids for that glossy natural sheen.

Overall comment:

A nice smelling balm which has a lot of uses. It cost me £17.00 for 30ml, so it is pricey. But like I said I have had my tube for a year or so and a little goes a long way. Its my emergency balm and I would hate to be parted with it. All in all its great for that odd bit of dry skin that occasionally creeps up.
If you like spending money, and you suffer from dry flakey skin and wind-burned lips then buy it. If you simply like that dewy look and want to have a makeup bag celebrities will fight over then this product should be in your bag!!!!!!!
But like me if you are a beauty junkie then go get it!!!!

I've heard that lots of people use this during flights to stop their skin drying out. As I have very dry skin, I wouldn't mind trying it.
