Job Centre Plus ... recently graduated and been left with nothing but a part time casual job, I decided that it might be of some use to me to try to claim Jobseeker s Allowance as it may help me to find a job. Wrong! This review will focus on my experience of tryiong to claim Jobseeker s and find a job using their service. I found the whole system to be an absolute joke. My first contact was a half hour phone interview, where they took all of my details of income and working pattern. This was fine - the person on the other end of the phone was pleasant and polite. Job Centre Plus ... The Job Centre is suppose to be help given to those looking for work or on benefits. The centre has job points with new jobs put on a daily basis and has over hundreds of people coming in daily. They have about 20 new jobs daily at my local not much but a lot of people still come. You can use the phones in the centre to apply for work saving you money from not ringing from your phone. If you claim benefits they can give you some money every two weeks. It was not much help in my case they were given me just 101.50 when I was on this two months ago. You had to sign on and be treated like a kid of their staff. Priory Pathways to Work ... you think of the Priory what comes to mind is that celebrities seem to be in and out of this place and it really expensive for the common person to even access but sometimes it can be accessed by the NHS too. I had recently been attending Seetec ( a place that tries to help overcome or cope with health and mental conditions and try to get you into work or education) and was introduced to the Priory condition management programme. This course was to run for 6 weeks just attending a day each week. Lunch, which was a buffet was included free and the sessions were free too.
