Disadvantages: Some problems wth my pay not sorted as quickly as i would have liked

I would like to give my opinion on Adecco the Job agency in Bristol

Adecco always have a number of high profile adverts designed to catch your eye and entice you into there office. I was in-between jobs and was looking for something in an IT helpdesk position to my surprise in the window was a advert that seemed to tick all the boxes, so I made my way into there office.
I enquired about the job in the window and was told they couldn't tell me the employers name unless I registered with them oh by the way registering takes about an hour and a half don't believe its any sooner that that.

You are forced to fill out there own forms even if you have a cv with you so I sat in a corner of the office with a clip board filling out my details with four other people just as desperate to get a job as myself.

Adecco also gets you to do some online tests that apart from some nerves at the beginning weren't too bad and I would encourage anyone not to worry about the result I'm dyslectic and I managed to pass.

The signup process follows an interview with one of there recruitment consultants who talk and listen to you like sales professionals this automatically turns me off but it must work as they are a very successful company. After a slightly more relaxed chat with the consultant I was told the companies name and given an interview date of the following week.

The company were quite extensive in the information I was given about the company and help with interview preparation.

On the interview day received a call from the agency asking how it went and was told he would call that day with the result of the job interview.
Adecco were processional in all there dealings with me and I was happily employed by Adecco for about two years before moving on.

I would say in those two years I had a number of issues with my pay and they weren't so quick in sorting it out as I would have liked but eventually after a number of weeks my pay was sorted.
In conclusion

Adecco are a profession recruitment company that in my experience treated me fairly in the most part and were good and efficient in finding me a job the main turn offs were the slick slimly people they tended to employ as recruitment consultants but if you can get past that they are worth a look in.

You won't be offered the best salaried jobs there are better online recruitment companies for that but for a walk in office that can get you a job a few pounds above the minimum wage it's a must for students or part-time workers who want the flexibility of not being stuck in a contracted job usually with Adecco you have a weeks notice must be given by both parties

Summary: This job agency is a national company that is good at what it does findng people work

I'm curious about the nature of the online tests, could you maybe clarify a little fo what they are - for example, personality, problem solving, keyboard skills, maths, or literacy ?
