Advantages: Extremely helpful, Professional, Interested in their employees

Employment agencies - have their uses (obviously!) but can also be a real pain. Having been a student I went to several agencies for temping work in the holidays and had mixed results. I found it infuriating to have spent time going through all the registration tests, procedures and paperwork, being told 'we'll have no trouble finding you something' only to hear nothing from them ever again, despite numerous chasing phone calls.

As such, Adecco came as a pleasant surprise. They took time to find out what I was interested in, registered me as looking for both temporary and permanent positions and within 2 days I had my first temping position. For the next few months I had several positions, all providing me with valuable office experience, until I was put forward for an interview for a permanent position. I got the job and stuck it out for a few months.

However, I came to realise it wasn't really me so went back to Adecco who again found me temp work within days. Having gone through my career aims once more, they kept an eye out for something that would interest me, knowing I was keen to get back to a permanent position. After a couple of months a fantastic opportunity arose and they took no time at all in sending off my CV and arranging an interview.

Result: I got the job and still here, still very happy in the industry of my choice. So, I am very grateful to Adecco and would recommend them as first port of call for anyone considering using an employment agency. I found them to be very professional, helpful, approachable and importantly, I never had any trouble with my wages!
