When I graduated, eight years ago, I had no office-work experience whatsoever. Still, I registered with Adecco to try to get something at the bottom rung of the ladder. They made me go through the usual tests such as audio typing and letter construction and was advised that because my typing speed was above 35wpm (their shockingly low minimum ...  Read the complete review

Back in April this year I joined up with Adecco in my local town and started to apply for work with them.My first impressions of them was they were really friendly and helped me out. They made sure everything on my CV they were happy with before they would consider me to work for them. Lucky for me they told me I was successful and had been put ...  Read the complete review

Extremely unprofessional! You will get mad even you got a job from Adecco. I hate but I have to say Adecco is really an ugly company with un-trained staff and unprofessional service. I got a job from them at Pitt office and I have payroll problems everyweek, I never get my payment correctly. I have to spend a whole day everyweek to talk to them ...  Read the complete review

Adecco here in Blackburn has got one branch in the town centre. The branch is not busy at all and has got a lot of advertisements often on their shop window for vacancies. Unfortunately the service here for many people trying their luck with them has been bad. I have been one of those people who have had bad luck finding work with ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Adecco

DO NOT GO NEAR THEM! I have just been told by a member of staff at Adecco in Newcastle that I have let them and the company I was working for down by having a accident and breaking my big toe! I have been repeatedly telephoned by them trying to bully me in returning to work after two days even after I told them on the 1st day that I would not be able to return. The women I spoke to was disrespectful and down right nasty. I am completely and absolutely appalled!

This is the worst agency I have contracted with in 12 years, can't believe the police and vodaphone are with. I had to give up trying to get paid by them. My advice don't go near them they won't pay you.

Adecco - Don't give a damn about temps (915 words)
by Spaceminx - written on 27/05/08

I've been signed up with Adecco for 3 months or so. My initial interview was very quick - a bit too quick. The lady I spoke to was very nice but went through the process very sketchily and quickly. I wasn't asked to do any tests and wasn't given a copy of my contract (which I thought they were obliged to do). I was offered this 'Travel Plus' thing ...  Read the complete review

in my experience, 3 yrs +, everything has been better than good. the staff in the middlesboro` branch are really helpful. the only gripe i would have is holidays. the fact that you hav to give 1 weeks notice for a lieu day, there are ways round this though, also once its booked in u cant cancel it, excuse is its on the system, in other words today is 7/5/08, hol booked for 12/7/08 that u no longer need, tough, again ways round this with my employer, also you cant take half days, cos the system dont recognise it, other than that- fine.

I would not under any circumstance, recommend Adecco to anyone looking for employment. I hate to say this, but unemployment would be a better option to you. Upon accepting my job. I was given no details as to what kind of work I would be doing. I accepted it because I needed the money. There have been two temps after me, and three ...  Read the complete review

My Opinion of Adecco (330 words)
by Jeff Woodley - written on 03/01/08

While Adecco strives to provide the services they offer- they do so rather poorly in my opinion. I signed up with Adecco a little over a year ago after being laid off from a long standing position. I never used their services. A little over a month ago I found myself again in need of employment and decided to give Adecco a try rather than wait to ...  Read the complete review

Adecco should be called A-DRECK-O (208 words)

ADDECCO is the ABSOLUTE WORST when it comes to BONUSES, and BENEFITS. The salary is Non-Competitive. they under-charge the Employer and misrepresent the job to the Temp always stating that it is an easier less demanding job than it is so they can justify the lower pay. Do not trust them. When they describe the Company and Benefits when you go ...  Read the complete review

Adecco is the name for the merged organisation of Adia and Ecco, two French and Swiss companies. They merged in the late 1990's to create the imaginatively titled "Adecco". In the UK Adecco also encompasses the old Alfred Marks brand, Computer People, Office Angels, Ajilon, Accountants on Call, Lee Hect Harrison and couple more. As a ...  Read the complete review

I have used Adecco's services for just over a year and four months and there have most definatley been some good and bad times. When I first went in to give my CV to Adecco, I was doing the general recruitment agency rounds. They were better than most in that they sat me down and did my tests straight away. Three hours later they ...  Read the complete review

Sent me to 3 non existing positions in 2 month! - Advantages: When they finally found me work it was a brilliant job - Disadvantages: This certain branch was very unorganised with too many contracts and temps they can manage, Didn't get properly paid until after 3 weeks into work, Weren't that bothered I had travelled to 3 different vacancies which they forgot to tell me had been cancelled

Adecco, why did I even bother going back with you? I registered with Adecco last year at their branch in the Strand. The actual registering process & interviews were fairly painless, pretty standard from what I have done with other agencies. Adecco: These guys suck the big one (645 words)
by - written on 19/11/01

There are two agencies you should avoid if you are not a multi skilled genius. One is Reed personnel, which I have duly slated, and the other is these guys. They are one of the biggest of the 102 in Northampton. Because we have a vast swathe of cheap asylum seeker labour here, its fairly hard to undercut the refugees who will work any hours or ...  Read the complete review

Employment agencies - have their uses (obviously!) but can also be a real pain. Having been a student I went to several agencies for temping work in the holidays and had mixed results. For 3 summers in a row I have registered my availability with the agency stating that I would like office work or light industrial (Post Office sorting).
