Advantages: Benefits, look for work, use their phones
Disadvantages: Advisers are not much help
Introduction
The Job Centre is suppose to be help given to those looking for work or on benefits. The centre has job points with new jobs put on a daily basis and has over hundreds of people coming in daily. They have about 20 new jobs daily at my local not much but a lot of people still come. You can use the phones in the centre to apply for work saving you money from not ringing from your phone.
If you claim benefits they can give you some money every two weeks. It was not much help in my case they were given me just 101.50 when I was on this two months ago. You had to sign on and be treated like a kid of their staff.
The experience I had with their staff was not pleasing at all one bit. Their staff seemed very rude and some of them were just not interested one bit in helping you out. Now how does this help us job seekers? Their staff tell you look on their website and their job point for jobs? WE ALREADY DO THAT! How is that help? That is their main help and letting us sign on really!
How about the Job Centre actually give some advice and help. Most of the workers I came across just want you to sign and go. You do not get much money from the Job Centre on benefits so you are better working. The thing is the Job Centre hardly does have any jobs available!
Summary: Job search elsewhere!
