Advantages: Can be fairly useful in finding work/training

Disadvantages: Most of the staff haven't got a clue when asked for help

Its not the job centre thats the problem - its the staff working there. You get a few that are very helpful and decent, but most of them are not particularly good and some are ignorant and about as much help in finding a job as a chocolate fireguard!!!

You can very rarely get on a decent course as a lot of the staff blame government funding - yeah right! Not what the actual educational centres themselves say!!! lol

You can find lots of jobs on the screens depending on your skills and qualifications but the staff unfortunately do drag the job centres down and give them a poor reputation. Having said that, they do have to try and judge who's slacking, who's genuinely unable to work and who genuinely wants to work. Quite difficult but not impossible.

I'm in no doubt that I would certainly rather be working like I am now than having any dealings with the job centre. Even if it is avoiding some of the arrogant cretins that work there.

Summary: Needs a lot of improvement

I think they are used to the fact 90% of the people that are in there arent looking to work.
