I've recently finished temp work with Office Angels (Sutton Coldfield branch (recently relocated from W-ton)) and would recommend anyone looking for work to give them a go. I initially trawled the agencies looking for summer work in 2007 and admittedly walked into OA in jeans and with hair scraped back, gave a CV to someone that worked there and ... When i first entered the Bromley Office Angels office I thought that this agency would be a great agency to register with, it looked professional busy with vacancies in the window. The consultant that took my cv told me to forward my CV by email also and then i would be able to register fully, she also gave me her card for a contact at the office. ... Read the complete review

I applied for a job through office angels in Preston Lancs, i have 3 years experiance as a manager in a busy service centre with various awards, I was made redundant, one of their very unhelpful staff called me and basically ridiculed me for applying for a team leader role, she made comments that i was not experianced andi was a fool for applying, she then put the phone down with that good luck manner, I did get the job but only through another agency who put me through for it . They are rude and are probably more scared that people with decent CVs and work ethic will take their own jobs.

I visited Office Angels to register and was surprised by the terms of their contract. It basically stated they would only ensure that I would be given 400 hours work in any 12 month period and that I wasn't allowed to work for any other agency whilst the contract was in force.
That says to me that if they didn't give me a job over and above the 400 hours I would be breaching the contract if I worked elsewhere which would in turn leave me open to being sued. I declined to sign it and was told that no one else had a problem with the contract.
I don't care if no one else had a problem with it - it was an unfair contract and treats the temp like an idiot.

I joined Office Angels and they found me my current job which is a full-time permanant position and I am now employed by a well known large company. When I intitially joined Office Angels, I needed to take proof of identity and address, and also have my NI number. I also took along a hard copy of my c.v. The recruitment ... I joined Office Angels when I became redundant last year. I had been recommended Office Angels from a friend, so decided to pop in and sign up. My local Office Angels office is in my local town centre (Maidstone - Kent). ** What's good about Office Angels** I have always been a little bit dubious when it came to recruitment ... Easily the worst recruitment agency by a mile, they will tell anyone gullible enough to sign up with them who is looking for permenant that "this is temporary but leading to permenant if they are happy with you," if it means you fill the role & thus for them their cut of your wage.
Decline any such offer, and their staff are rude and aggressive, even going so far as insinuating that they will let the Jobcentre know you turned down a job to try and get your dole stopped.
Recruitment agencies tend to unscrupulous at the best of times, but this lot are the worst of an evil breed.

Office Angels in Sutton Coldfield has to be one of the most rudest agencies I have ever spoken to ! If you told the staff you couldnt get the time off to make a date they suggested then they presumed you couldnt get time off for interviews she found for you, full stop ! One woman in particular was very rude to me considering that I am meant to be a client to them.
At the end of the day it is their job to help prospective clients, not to make them feel bad. She was helpful, but her tone was dreadful. Shes needs to go to a class in Anger Management.

Recently I have been looking for a change of career and my friend suggested I try Office Angels. I have to say their good reputation is well founded, at least for permanent work. The consultants in the Kingston branch are friendly, polite and very efficient. I emailed them my CV on Friday afternoon and had an appointment with them first thing ... Read the complete review

I am now in the position of HR Manager with a large firm based in London, however about 5 years ago I found myself needing to sign on with a temp agency! I knew Office Angels from my previous company having used them before myself to recruit reception and admin positions. I agree they inundate you with c.v.'s (quantity not quality), ... I did temp work via office angels and they were very nice while I was there. However, when I went to register I was made to wait around for a long time. Also when I handed in my notice I asked about my leave entitlement only to be told I had lost it! I was never given details of leave when I started or issued with a contract. When I quiered ... I am a senior PA with Blue Chip experience to Vice President level. I only approached this company because of a job they had advertised. I was met (Kingston branch) by juvenile girls (their conversations punctuated by "cool", "no problem" I was "interviewed" by a girl who answered "lovely" to everything I ... Read the complete review

I’ve always felt a little mean registering with more than one job agency, I doubt the agencies themselves pride themselves on such high morals but I almost feel like I’m cheating on an agency if I use another. However after hearing lots of horror tales from my friends about how one agency couldn’t possibly keep me supplied with endless amounts of ... Read the complete review

I registered with this agency in Portsmouth, and to my utter amazement, found that they are not actually recruitment consultants, but are so called career consultants, I asked about a total change of careers, and was informed by some jumped up woman, that was probably once an air hostess, sure did look like one, that I should really stick to what ... I've looked at the other reviews in this category and I unfortunately have to disagree with them all. Maybe it's just the branch that I worked for, but I would never, ever go near Office Angels ever again - they are, in my opinion, simply the worst recruitment agency I have ever had the displeasure of not getting paid by (and I've had pay ... If you're thinking about starting temping for office work I can recommend Office Angels. Of course, like most recruitement agencies, they are primarily interested in making money and it is incredibly depressing when you find out how much they get per hour compared to how much you actually get paid. However, that aside, they are the best of a ... Read the complete review

I have worked through Office Angels for 9 weeks now and I love it. I think they are a great temporary agency. They are definitely the best I have used. Office angels are a clerical recruitment agency, I have to be honest, i have temped with them during summer vacations, but i would not really think of approaching them for graduate jobs.
