Advantages: Nothing

Disadvantages: Hours, managers

I've been working at Asda for just over 3 months and to be quite frank i hate it with a passion. It all went wrong from day one....

I was asked what hours i would like to do (twice) and on both occasions i said between 8-5pm. When i recieved my timetable it read my hours to be 1:30 - 7:30pm mon 4:45 - 8:30pm Wed & Thurs 1:00 - 10:00pm Fri. I was in shock but i thought maybe i would be alright with these hours. How wrong was i a month later i wrote to my line managers about how my hours are affecting my health (I've never felt so ill in my life since working these hours. But i never had time off work for it because i'm new). It's now a month from handing that letter in and i haven't heard anything from anyone! what should i do?

Summary: I need adivce on what to do?

As people have said (Creamflow stop being so bloody nasty) retail can involve horrible hours, it's your choice whether you accept them regardless of whether it's morally right they asked you in the first place.

I've just started ASDA on home shopping, its 5AM - 11AM 5-days a week meaning I get in and out quickly. Maybe those hours you should be considering?

You need to enter the real world J, you really have made me angry, I think to be honest that your just lazy or do you normally lie around claiming off the government by any chance? & I guess you don't eat very healthy if you can't even manage those hours!, I work very long hours, last Monday I got up at 4.45am, drove to London, did a long days work which actually finished at 9.38pm, decided to stay over for the night, by the time we'd left the office, dumped our belongings at the hotel & sat down to eat it was 11pm & yes I started at 7.30am the following morning & got home at 10pm. even my wife was up last Saturday morning at 3.45am to work at the NEXT sale, she worked the Saturday & Sunday & that was on top of her other full time job!. I've worked 86 hour before nw in one week to make ends meet. The receptionist at the Hotel I use in London works Full time in a London retail shop & every single night at the hotel - two full time jobs!, his wife is a nurse & they see each other just two evenings a week.
ARRRRHHHH your so LAZY!
AARRRRR - Get a life!

This is nothing to do with Asda as a brand, only a rant about your work life. Surely, there is a more appropriate subject to brand this under.
