I hate working at Asda (ASDA Stores)
Member Name: Happy Home Shopper
Advantages: Flexible working hours if needed Disadvantages: Not a place to make a career out of I used to work at Asda for almost a year. I had my patience and sanity tried by rude & confrontational customers, some of whom are deliberately so as they pay your wages even though they graze in-store on food, abandon chilled/frozen items, shoplift etc. All of which can affect your annual bonus. Some of the managers were no better. I learn't on my first few weeks that these managers don't set a good example to colleagues who are supposed to respect them. Hardwork is rarely complemented or really appreciated but you're subjected to ridiculous huddles where management tell colleagues they're underperforming, not giving good customer service etc. The only thing I miss is the colleagues, great people some I have since become friends with. Asda is a fine place to work if you're nearing retirement age or need a part-time job when your partner is the breadwinner. Asda is certainly not a place I'd recommend to work for full-time. Summary: If you work there keep looking for something else |
