Asda stores

Though this review is obviously about Asda, I would like to explain that it is specifically my local store, which is in Blyth, Northumberland.

My local store is open 24 hours (except Sunday) which is great for me as I work shifts. As a result, I find myself doing a lot of my shopping at 3am having just finished work. If you have the option of shopping at this time then I would highly recommend it, the shop is a lot quieter and there are plenty of staff available and happy to help, should you need it. It is also a much more enjoyable shopping experience, you can wander around looking at things without feeling stressed and wanting to get out as soon as possible. On a negative side, this does mean that you may buy more! With the amount of bargains to be had, you really can't go wrong though.

My local Asda has a clothes section, which surprisingly sells a pretty good range of clothes for women, men and children. I particularly like the babies section, and buy quite a lot of things for my niece, all of which are excellent quality and very reasonable priced too.

There is also a household section, again with really reasonably priced goods, a fresh fish section and a "make your own pizza" section (please see my earlier review on this, I REALLY recommend their steak and cheese on bbq sauce variety, mmh!) along with a pharmacy. Then there is an electrical goods section and a music/entertainment section too. I have used this to get a prescription and they were fast and helpful.

I find that Asda is very competitively priced and I also like the fact that they have such a wide range of things that I cannot normally find in other supermarkets . However, for me, what makes me keep coming back to Asda is the staff. They are simply lovely, it may be 3am yet they are cheerful, warm and friendly and happy to help. Every time I go there, I leave thinking the same thing, what fantastic staff. In an age where customer service can seem like a thing of the past, Asda are worlds ahead of the competition.

If you haven't tried Asda then I really hope that you do soon, with Christmas coming, their range will be even more extensive and they are definitely value for money. Best of all, they genuinely make you feel that they welcome your custom and want you to come back again and again!
