Working at Asda as a teenager back in the day was not so bad you know. They used to offer over time pay plus getting the job is not hard at all. They offer actually decent pay at over 6 pounds and for people over 25 the chances of getting paid around 8 pounds a hour is high to. Asda has a number of jobs the best one is on the till. I ... Asda stores Though this review is obviously about Asda, I would like to explain that it is specifically my local store, which is in Blyth, Northumberland. My local store is open 24 hours (except Sunday) which is great for me as I work shifts. As a result, I find myself doing a lot of my shopping at 3am having just finished ... Read the complete review

I have read reviews of asda on this site and the newest one is about two years old now, so I thought it was time someone put some new information up for you all, especially if you are considering a full-time/part time job there. I applied after finding out about the vacancy on jobcentreplus, I attended the group interview which included ... Read the complete review

Took a job there in desperation working as a home shopper. Picking was a doddle apart from being distracted by customers with requests. The managers were a mixed bag, some nice while others had a superiority complex towards colleagues and were unprofessional to say the least. The home shopping department at my store was seen by some managers as a ... Read the complete review

I've been working at ASDA's store in Radcliffe since October 2007. ASDA really tends to big itself up as great employer so I thought I'd write a review on working there and you can make your own minds up. A Brief History Asda was the brain child or butchers and dairy farmers from Yorkshire wh's dream was to create a place for one ... Read the complete review

I used to work at Asda for almost a year. I had my patience and sanity tried by rude & confrontational customers, some of whom are deliberately so as they pay your wages even though they graze in-store on food, abandon chilled/frozen items, shoplift etc. All of which can affect your annual bonus. Some of the managers were no better. I learn't ... Read the complete review

Hi all, i don't work at a store but at a large Asda distribution center at Lutterworth. While the pay is better here the way you are treated is quite awful. You get a file note for the smallest mistake now. Really makes you want to go to work not. And now because of somthing they call job rotation i find myself doing a job i last did 10years ago. Thanks Asda you know how to kick someone when they are already down. Never ever work for this company if you can help it. If you do they will ruin you life.

I've worked for Asda for nearly five years, and it's the best job I've ever had.I work nights,it's hard work but the job is what you make it.The previous review is obviously a day worker that stands around all day doing nothing, we've got them at our store. They complain about everything, especially if they have to do some work.if you don't like the uniform, the way the managers treat you or the wages,it's easy enough leave, that's all you have to do.Some people don't mind hard work.So stop moaning, leave and let someone have the job who wants it.

This chapter of my life started the day I needed a part-time job. I needed money for art supplies and travel to my college, so therefore got a job at ASDA. At first it was ok, but for the measley £5.91 I get an hour, I feel underpaid and even recently undervalued. I work very hard trying to please the managers, helping the customers ... I've worked for ASDA for five years now. This isn't something I let many people know, or like to boast about, but as it's pretty relevent here, there you go! The pay is good for a supermarket. I've read some rubbish in some of these reviews saying things like they only pay minimum wage, which is completely untrue. ASDA have always paid ... Read the complete review

I've been working at Asda for just over 3 months and to be quite frank i hate it with a passion. It all went wrong from day one.... I was asked what hours i would like to do (twice) and on both occasions i said between 8-5pm. When i recieved my timetable it read my hours to be 1:30 - 7:30pm mon 4:45 - 8:30pm Wed & Thurs 1:00 - ... Read the complete review

Asda where to start... I was an employee there or colleague as ASDA desperately want to be like the americans for some unknown reason. While I was there I saw some shocking things in short as a warning to anyone who would conmsider working for them and this is purely my personal experience and you should use it only as supporting ... Do not buy any electrical items from ASDA or Wal-Mart who own Asda they are inferior products & if they last more then 12 months you have had a result. I purchased a TV DVD combi they don't give you a proper guarantee form but a till receipt witch if lost you will have no come back even if you show debit card statements referring to Asda & ... How many people can imagine themselves saying 'I work in a supermarket, and I love it!!!'? No, I couldn't either, but strangely I do. I came to Asda after my maternity leave ended, and I decided to leave my old job. My reason for leaving was slightly unusual. One of the regular customers of the bakery where I used to work was a very ... Read the complete review

I, like many people who work at Asda, was a lowly student who needed a few extra quid during holidays and at weekends, little did I know I was signing on to be part of a Nazi-esque regime! I left just over two years ago so some of the stuff may be a little out of date, and some may only apply to the Lincoln store where I ... Read the complete review

I've worked in a new store for about 6 months now and I've found it an uphill struggle, not to do my job, which is the easiest in the store, but to balance what ASDA say it will be and what it is. I feel that there is always going to be a 'bedding in' period with so many people trying to learn how to work together. I'm a Greeter, ... Read the complete review

I've read a few reviews about Asda and can say that I enjoyed them. I started at Asda 31/2 yrs ago. Firstly the interview was like no other I’ve had before . The interviewers made you feel very at ease . Not like some companies when you feel like a lamb to the slaughter . They're a bit like playing games - but don't worry it's not as bad as it ...
