I've worked in a new store for about 6 months now and I've found it an uphill struggle, not to do my job, which is the easiest in the store, but to balance what ASDA say it will be and what it is. I feel that there is always going to be a 'bedding in' period with so many people trying to learn how to work together. I'm a Greeter, ... Read the complete review

I've read a few reviews about Asda and can say that I enjoyed them. I started at Asda 31/2 yrs ago. Firstly the interview was like no other I’ve had before . The interviewers made you feel very at ease . Not like some companies when you feel like a lamb to the slaughter . They're a bit like playing games - but don't worry it's not as bad as it ... Ive worked for asda for 2 years on nights, i work in a busy shop and the rate of pay doesnt reflect the amount of effort you have to put in. They say the work is valued but lose your badge and its disciplinary time. People leave the company and they do not replace them so you have to work harder. My advice is dont work for them in the first place.

I recently moved to a small town in the North East when my boyfriend took a job in Banff just before Christmas. I had just finished university, had little money and no car so I had to look for a job close by. New stores TESCO and ASDA were announced and I applied for both superstores. ASDA asked me to come for a group interview, then for an ... Read the complete review

Okay so I am a student studying in Newcastle, and I decided to find a job to earn some money, so I could enjoy the luxury of eating once again. Living about half an hour out of the city centre, there wasn't that much around, except for a few supermarkets. I decided to try asda. I went in and got an application form from Customer ... You work at a checkout and you feel that you are becoming more and more like a robot. There is a severe lack of mentally stimulating work, and interesting conversation. I long to serve interesting customers with whom I can at least have an interesting conversation. I once served a customer who told me that you need no common sense to ... Read the complete review

I am suprised that a store that tries it's hardest for its customers have to make such a hash of their parking facilities. The asda store i use has two entrances to its car park one with speedbumps and one without consequently the one without attracts the largest volume of traffic which causes holdups (not good when you wish to do your shopping ...
