Newest Review: ... that they can use in any financial orientated work place. I really enjoy my job, with hopes to progress through the ranks. I would highly recommend HSBC over any other UK based banks, especially Barclays. HSBC prides itself on customer service, therefore meaning we don’t miss sell or rip off our customers (even though the other review disputes this fact). We are strictly regulated by the FSA, therefore meaning if we miss sell and mislead there foots in our back. I hope this review is helpful, and I would highly recommend HSBC to anyone looking to progress in the banking world.... more

Benificial Finance are CRAP, i dont work for them but i have a loan with them, and i must say this does not apply to all people working for thrm but the ones i have dealt with seem to not have a clue what they are doing wich left me questioning wether they are actually trained for the job!!! i did my best to save extra money to pay of my load quicker (which they told me i could do) so i eventually saved £600 but now because numerous people have f**ked my payments up it works out that i have only paid 154.70, infront which is really gutting for me!!!! i have to mess about going in and out of the branch (barnsley) trying to sort it out! they are all Thick as F***!!!!!!!!

I read the above review, slightly in shock. All the stories, all the tales, but I wonder how much of it is drama and fiction from previous employees look for abit of attention. I work in one of HSBC's UK based customer contact centres, where I 'sell' loans and other lending products to customers from all different backrounds. So firstly, the company on the whole. Its the 2nd largest bank in the world. Established in 1865. With offices in 72 different countries. The company offers great careers prospects, and provides there staff with training and qualification that they can use in any financial orientated work place. I really enjoy my ...  Read the complete review

HSBC: Don't expect to retire there (238 words)

Beneficial WAS a good company to work for before Household took over and sullied the good Beneficial name. For thirty years(28 with the "old" Beneficial) I "gave my life" to the company. After Household took over, the last two years were pure hell. Household's people took over and showed little mercy even though we old Beneficial people were really struggling with their "system" of doing things, not to mention an absolutely horrible and archaic computer system(at that time, anyway). There were few "hearts" to be found in upper management. You either met their goals or your life was miserable. With the old Beneficial we ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Hsbc top guns supports fraud while speaking against it. (257 words)

At Hsbc employees have one credo, if there's anything wrong going on, keep your mouth shut, you never noticed it. A couple of months ago in the UK's India call centre a guy detected major flaws in Hsbc systems. Instead of checking it out immediately, managers did not bother for two months. Reason: managers wanted the credit as it would result in promotions, the guy eventually left in disgust as action was taken against him indirectly on other grounds for not disclosing exact details. Even after he informed the Assistant Vice President and VP nothing was done to undo. By the way the place is headed by an American lady, who's done absolutely nothing, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review HSBC: The World's Worst Employer? (HFC Beneficial Finance) (1220 words)

HSBC Loans – Beware choosing a career with these people! This morning, I dragged myself out of bed, carefully ironed my shirt and unfolded my suit. I meticulously applied my makeup and dried my hair with the hairdryer (something I never normally do.) A lot of effort to spend another day watching Neighbours and listening to the hold message for Jobline you might think – but lo and behold, I actually had an interview! This time the company were not scammers on the other side of London, but a respected international company with fantastically local offices. My confirmation call from the agency psyched me up and I was off! Before anyone feels the need ...  Read the complete review
