Advantages: you can meet people and socialise and get free food!

Disadvantages: hot to work there in the summer and after a while you dont want to eat the food.

I worked at Mcdonalds from 1986 to 1989, i had a great time, i made friends which i still have today, We were allowed to have free food at our lunchtimes depending on how many hours we did on that shift, ie the more hours the more you could spend on your lunch.
But after a while working there you really dont want to eat the food, because you either cook it all day or serve it so you do get sick of eating it.
The managers were very strict though, they didnt like it if you stood still you had to be doing something! when no customers had been in for a while say a Sunday lunchtime which was always quiet, we couldn't stand still we had to clean floors, surfaces, tables etc even if they hadent been used just so we were on the move and seemed to be busy.
The kitchen was always a non stop area and in the summer months it was almost unbearably hot! i used to get put on the friers a lot when on kitchen duty, that was tough and my mouth felt so dry due to the salting of the chips.
All in all i would say it was a good enviroment to work in and a good experience, but was also very hard work.
But you do get to meet all sorts of people and meet new friends i dont regret working there infact its one of my good memories.

Summary: A good experience a fond memory i'd do it again.
