There is no min. wage for under 18's and 18 - 20 is something feeble like £3.80. 21 and over i think is £4.10/hr.
The Staff DO NOT spit in the Drinks, shakes, food etc (as much as I would love to there are to many mangagers around to do this).
I work for Mc Hell Store number 0661 (e-mail 0661@uk.mcd.com) Kings Lynn 2 as a Crew Member. I hate working here but I have to keep going on because I need the cash. The Hours are long. You get a 45 mins break and you can ONLY have one SUPERSIZE meal free.
You always end up cleaning it seems your whole life at Mc Hell is spent cleaning something that was cleaned about 5 mins ago.
The Crew room (staff room) is a small room with a TV (no sky or video), even the bluddy toilet is bigger then the crew room. hat works sometimes and never when your on your break.
The Mangers are like Hitlers ordering you around and the "closes" sometimes get out aroun 3am. Yes poor sods like me have to stay on until when ever we finish its not fair.

- 04/08/09 wow, ya'll get meal discounts? we have to pay for ours. they change it alot, sometimes we have to pay full price and sometimes we get a discount, guess it depends how the corporate guy feels.
wow there are alot of smartass comments. You people don't understand, if you don't have any experience and mcdonalds was the only one that hired you, you gotta make money somewhere you know? You just can't quit, if you quit you can't come back to the job. Its really hell working in there. Really. |

- 14/07/03 my crew room has an xbox.i usually get an hours break. ive never done cleaning since ive been there. and the crew room has a top floor view over the beach and town. the managers at my place are sound coz there as old as evry1 else. |

- 22/10/02 If your crew room doesn't have a video player then you should get in touch with HR - speak to your manager about how to do this. All crew rooms are obliged to have a TV, video player (not necessarily a recorder though), iron and ironing board, and stereo.
Meal allowances vary between stores - you're lucky to get a supersize meal; most stores give a medium meal and desert. Plus there's the discounted food at other times.
Also, grads DO have to mop the floor somtimes. And they DO have to stay until the rank horrid early hours, too. The grads sometimes meet the breakfast staff at 6am just like the rest of us.
All in all, an inaccurate op I feel. Maybe you're just in a crap store, but it doesn't reflect my experiences. |
